Structure, govemance and managament
Welcome to our annual report for the 2024 finan￿al year.
2023124 marked Brighton Early Music Festival's r8lum io a full-scale autumn festival for the

delighted to be able to reconnect our education and OLrtreach work to the main festival for the
first time since 2019 with the participation of bcal schoolchildren in our Whispering Dome
parformance. which went on to win a prestigious intemational award from th8 European Early
Music Networf( IREM41.
Although there is some optimism that the culiural s8Ctor localty is rebuilding after Covid, Ihe
cosl-of-living Crisis over the period of the report has been challenging for prof8ssional
musicians, audiences and our donors, and we would regard any gains from the nomalisation
after Covid to be significantly counterbalanced by th6 e￿nOmiC challenges of this crisis.
Despite this, we are unwavering in our mission to welcome audiences and participants lo our
nique live events which are driven by musical ex¢xllents and our common humanity.
