REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THEYEAR ENDING
31st MARCH 2025
The Trustees present thelr annual report and financial statements of the charity for the year ended
31 March 2Q25. The financlal statements have been prepared in accordance wlth the accounting
pollcles set out In note I to the financlal statement and comply with the charltV'S trust deed, the
Charities Act 2011 and "Accounting and Reporting by charltie5'. Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to £haritie5 preparlng thelr accounts in accordance wlth the Flnancial Reportillg Standard
appllcable In the Ul< and Republic of Ireland IFRS1021" leffective l January 20191.
I. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE PUBIIC BENEFIT
The primary objective of the charityj as set out In its governlng document. is to advance the Islamic
falth and provide religious education In 3CLordance with the teachlngs of Islam for the public benefit,
Thls is achieved throu8h the holdlng of congrègational prayers, religious gatherln85, Study circles,
lecturestr publlc celebration of Islamic festivals, and the provision of literature and educational
resource5 to promote a better understanding of Islam. The Centre also seeks to promote communitv
cohesion through inter-faith dialogue, educational workshops, youth engagement activities, and
programmes designed to support the spiritual, social and personal development of individuals and
familles within the communltv.
The charlty Is committed to enabling as many members of the local community as possible to aC￿SS
Its facilities and participate Sn acts of worshipi learnlng 3nd community development. Regular
prayers, religioLJS teachings, Qur'anic studies, and communlty programmes are held at the Centre,
alongside initiatives aimed at supporting VOLtng people, families, the elderly and vulnerable members
of society. Through these activities, the Centre strlves to foster inclusion, mutual respect, and the
overall wellbein% of the wlder community.
2. ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
The Centre has continued to regaln momentum followlng the disruption caused by the Covid-19
pandemic and has now largely returned to normal levels of activity. Attendance at congregational
prayers and commLJnity programmes has 5teadlly Increased, with worshlppers gradually returnlng to
regular participation. In keeping with its charitable objectives, the Centre has resumed and expanded
its reliElOUS, educational and communlty support servlces.
As in prevlous years, the Centre has remalned committed to supporting vulnerable members of the
local community. The Centre continues to be highly valued by the local community, especlally elderlv
attendee5, who regard it as a safe and welcoming space for prayer, reflection and social interaction.
The involvemp.nt of nèw and younger volunteers ha5 Strengthened the Centre's admlnistrative
capacity and enhanced1ts ability to deliver services effectsvely, contributing pos1￿VelY to the spiritual
and social wellbelng of the congregation.

The Centre also contlnues to collaborate wlth other charitable organisallons and community groups
to promote inter-faith dlalogue, communlty coheslon and joint initiatives that benefit the wider
public.
The Trustees wish to acknowledge and èxpress their sincere appreciation for the dedication and
commitment of the volunleers whose continued support remains essential to the day-to-day
management and ongoing success of the Centre.
3. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Nimra Muslim Community Centre is a registered charity governed by a Constitution adopted on 25
De￿mber 2002, as subsequently amended, most recently on l October 2022. The charlty is not a
company limited by guarantee and does not have share capltal. It operates in accordan¢e wlth Its
governing document and the relevant provislons ot charity law in EnEland and Wales.
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the charlty's governlng document, appllcable
statutory requlrements, and the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice ISORPI IFRS 1021,
togÈther with the Financlal Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The charlty Is administered by a Board of Trustees who are responsible for the overall governance,

Trustees are appolnted in accordance with the provisions of the Constltution. They serve on a
voluntary basis and recelve no remuneration for thelr servlces. The Trustees collectively ensure that
the charity operates In furtherance of its oblect5 and in Complian￿ with legal and regulatory
obligations.
Indivldual Trustees take responsibility for overseeing specifi£ operational areas of the Centre,
working closely with volunteers to ensure effective delivery of religious, educational and community
servlces.
b. Management of the char5ty
The Trustees mèet reEL¢larly to revlew the charity's activities, fÈnances, compllance matters and
future planning. Additional meetinES are convened where necessary to address urEent or strategic
matters.
The day-to-day runnlng of the Centre is 5UPPOrted by volunteers who assist wlth administration,
programme delivery, malntenance of the premises and communlty engaEement activiMes. The

Trustees maintain approprlate financlal contro15 and governance procedures to safeguard the
charity's assets and ensure transparency and accountability In all operations.
4. FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Trustees conslder the financial performance by the charlty during the year to have b@en
satiskctory. Donations re£elved durlng the year were £55,531 up from £49,365 In the prevlous year.
Expendlturc amountod to £54,870 up from £24,896 in the prevlous yÈar. The trustees feel that the
charity h35 sufficient reserves to cover its operating costs for approximately 12 month5.
5. PUBLIC BENEFIT
The Trustees have pald due regard to the Charity Commission's guldance on public beneflt. The
Trustees have referred to this guidance when reviewing the Centre's aims and okijectives and when
planning its activities for the year and the future.
The charity carries out a broad range of activities in furtherance of its charitable purposes, including
the advancement Df the Islamic falth, the promotion of education, and the provision of community
support initiatives. The Trustees consider that these activities provide benelit both to those who
attend congregational prayers, religious classes and community events, and to the wider local
communitv.
The facilities and servlces pravlded by the Centre are made available to members of the Muslim
community and are accessible to the wider publlc. Through Its edLrcational programmes, inter-faith
engagement and community inlti2tives, the Centre also promotes greater understanding of Islam and
fosters communlty coheslon among people of different backgrounds and falths.
6. RISK POLICY
The major rlsks to whlth ihe Charlty Is exposed are reviewed on a regular basis and approprlate
Systems and procedure5 are established to mitigate those risks. The Trustees actively assess
operational, financial and compliance risks as part of their ongolng governance responsibillties,
The Trustees malntain appropriate internal controls and procedures, Including those relating to
financial mana8ement, budgeting, safeguarding, data protÉttion, and health and safety regulations.
The Trustees are satisfted that adequate systems and arrangements are ill place to manage the risks
identilied and to safeguard the charity's asset5, beneficiaries and volunteers.

effective funcuonlng and continued development of the charity.

premises maintenance, cleaning, and general operational assistance,
The continued enthusiasm and generosity of the volunteers greatly contribute to the splrltual,
educ3tional and community servi￿5 provided by the Centre and remaih ￿ntral to Its ongolng
success.
8. PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
Regular atterbdance and particlpation from members of the local community continue tc> increase
steadily. In order to deliver Its charitable objectives in a more structured, effective and efficient
manner, the Charlty Intends to strengthen Its organisational capaclty and enhance community
engagement. The Trustees are explorlng the appointment of a dedicated Operations Coordinator
who will act as a key liaison between the Centre and the wider communlty, with particular focus
on communlty seNices, welfare support inltiatives, and structured educational and youth
programme5.
