Activities
ACA manages the Ackroyd Community Centre which is used by up to 20 Lewisham based organisations. The Centre hosts activities for children and parents with play and activities opportunities, a nursery, after school club, holiday play-schemes and parental support projects. It also hosts a range of educational and healthy lifestyle activities and manages the Elder People's Support Project.
Objects: •to Promote The Benefit Of People Living Or Working In The Area Bounded By Manwood Road, Bankhurst Road, Blythe Hill Lane, Stanstead Road, Devonshire Road, Grierson Road, Buckthorne Road And Holdenby Road And Surrounding Areas (to Be Known As The Area Of Benefit) Without Distinction Of Gender Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating The Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations And Inhabitants In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For Such Inhabitants•to Establish And Maintain The Premises And Activities Of Ackroyd Community Centre And To Cooperate With Any Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted By The Association And Its Constituent Bodies In Furtherance Of The Above Objects
