Promoting widening participation in education & training. Providing a supportive moderation service by supporting the whole accreditation process. Promoting quality, flexibility, inclusiveness & responsiveness of educational provision. Facilitating the improvement of access to learning opportunities & progression to further learning, employment & education.
Objects: The Charity's Objects ('The Objects') Are The Advancement Of The Education Of The Public In The United Kingdom And Elsewhere ("Region") In One Or More Of The Following Ways - 1. By Recognising The Educational Achievements Of Learners, In Particular Those Who Have Benefited Least From Traditional Educational Opportunities Or Who Are Currently Under Represented In Education And Training.2. By Promoting The Widening Of Participation In Education And Training Especially By Adults Who Have Previously Been Excluded From Educational Opportunities.3. By Recognising And Promoting Access To Higher Education In The Region And To Guarantee The Standard Of The Access To Higher Education Award.4. By Working With Members Of The Charity To Promote The Quality, Flexibility, Inclusiveness And Responsiveness Of Educational Provision In The Regions.5. By Facilitating The Improvement Of Access To Learning Opportunities And Progression To Further Learning, Employment And Higher Education.6. By Promoting Credit-Based Learning Through The Award Of Credits And Credit-Based Qualifications.7. By Developing And Promoting The Provision And Quality Of Access To Higher Education Programmes And Awarding Access To Higher Education Diplomas Under Licence From The Quality Assurance Agency For Higher Education.8. By Contributing To And Supporting The Aims And Activities Of The National Open College Network.
