Fulani Ministries Trust Report of the Trustees and Financial Statements 30 September 2025 ## **Fulani Ministries Trust** ## **Contents** Report of the trustees Examiner's report Receipts and payments account Statement of bank balances **Fulani Ministries Trust** **Charity Number 1096807** ## **Report of the Trustees for the year ended 30 September 2025** The Trustees present their report with the financial statements of the trust for the year ended 30 September 2025. ## **INCEPTION** The Fulani Ministries Trust is a registered charity, governed by a Declaration of Trust dated 9th October 2002. ## **OBJECTS** Fulani Ministries Trust is a registered charity created by a Declaration of Trust dated 09.10.02. The objects of the Charity are the furtherance of the Christian Faith, to relieve poverty and suffering and to promote education primarily among the Fulani people. ## **PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES** In fulfilling the charity objects, the trust works with a team of Fulani Nationals based and working in Burkina Faso and in some other sub-Saharan African countries. The trust provides financial support for the Fulani Team’s work and for the provision of food and medical help at different times through the Jam Tan Centre located approximately 55 kms from the capital city of Ouagadougou. Regular contact is made with our partners in Burkina. The team and associated helpers in Burkina Faso continue to develop Christian Ministry and train church planters and workers. Regular church services are held along with various community events and activities including sporting events and football tournaments for local villages. Additionally, the trust works with the team to provide education and to provide skills training to equip individuals to earn a living and be self-sufficient. The Trust has this year supported Jam Tan centre by sponsoring the Community Health Days that fell within the financial year. These days are staffed voluntarily by doctors and nurses from the capital city. The local police work alongside the team on clinic days and provide some security and administrative civic help for those without national identification papers. Local politicians and other dignitaries attend from time to time and have particularly praised this help given. There has been a continued development of good relations with the security forces and police is part of the value added consequence of these events and actions and the help is very favourably received. All these are aimed at building community cooperation, which has been acknowledged by both officials and local people as very positive. ## **Fulani Ministries Trust** ## **Charity Number 1096807** ## **Report of the Trustees for the year ended 30 September 2025 - continued** As part of the promotion of good health, Jam Tan following the completion of the building of the permanent medical centre, have now been the issue of the licence from the government for the centre to be used. The licence includes for Jam Tan to include the provision of a maternity unit and a pharmacy and to establish a laboratory, as well as general medical assistance. Jam Tan are currently seeking to recruit medical centre staff, doctors, midwives and nurses, plus a pharmacist in order to provide local people with immediate care on a more regular basis. As continuation of promoting education, Jam Tan the primary school continues to flourish. The building of a high school is in order to help establish a continuity in the education of local children, from primary age through to secondary level. The amount of displaced people coming to the area continues to add pressure on Jam Tan to be creative in providing education opportunities for children. The launch of a new club for children and young people has proved very popular with those ages. The new Fulani Ministries website, primarily sponsored by the Fulani Ministries Trust we are pleased to report is helping to promote awareness of the Trust and Jam Tan activities. There continues to be increased security problems in Burkina Faso and other neighbouring countries, are a serious concern as terrorist activity is widespread. There have been attacks on churches and police, security forces and on the general population. Some pastors and church members have been killed and others displaced. Many schools have closed due to terrorist attacks, and people are displaced. It is estimated 60% of Burkina Faso is now affected by terrorist activity. In spite of the difficulties the charity’s work continues and grows. Jam Tan has been using its resources to help displaced people. The increased threat to people and villages particularly in the north of the country comes from terrorists who cross the borders from neighbouring countries. This has caused a significant increase of displaced people within Burkina Faso to 2.6 million people. We acknowledge with thanks all who help us with support and encouragement and to the team members in Burkina Faso who are at the sharp end of the trust’s activities. The trustees continue to monitor the security situation with a view to taking such steps as may become necessary. It is my reponsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commisioners under section 43 (7)(b) of the Act, whether particular matters have come to my attention. ## **Basis of examiner's statement** My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. ## **Independent examiner's statement** In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act; and to prepare accounts which accord with those records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the Act have not been met and (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
