FulAni Ministries Trust Charity Number 10g6807 Report of the Trustees for the year ended 30 September 2024 The Trustees preS1t their report with the financial statements of the trust for the year ended 30 September 2024. INCEPTION The Fulani Ministries Tn]st is a registered charity, governed by a Declaration of Trust dated 9th October 2002. OBJECTS Fulani Ministries Trust is a registered charity created by a Declaration of Trust dated 09.10,02. The objects of the Charity are the furtherance of the Christian Faith, to relieve poverty and suffering }d to promote education priinarily among the Fulani people. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES In lfilling the charity objects, the trust works with a team of Fulani Nationals based and working in Burkina Faso and in some other sub-saharan African countries. The trust provides financial support for the Fulani Team's work and for the provision of food and medical help at different times through the Jam Tan Centre located approximately 55 knns froin the capital city of Ouagadougou. Regular contact is made with our partners in Burkina. The team and associated helpers in Burkina Faso continue to develop Christian Ministry and train church planters and workers. Regular church services are held along with various coinmunity cvents and activitics including sporting events and football tournCnts foT local villag¢s. Additionally, the trust works with the team to provide education and to provide skills training to equip individuals to carn a living and bc s¢lf-sufficicnt. Th¢ Trust has this year supported Jam Tan centre by sponsoring all four (4) of the quarterly coinmunity health days that fell within the financial year. These days are staffed voluntarily by doctors and nurses froin the capital city. The local police work alongside the team on clinic days and provide some security and administrative civic help for tliose without national identification papers. Local politicians and other diwtaries attend from time to time and have particularly praised this help given. There has been a continued development of good relations with the security forces and police is part of the value added consequence of these events and actions and the help is very favourably received. As part of the protnotion of good health, Jam Tan have completed the building of the pernianent medical centre, they are now awaiting the issue of the licence from the government for the centre to be able , In future the medical ceiitre will be staffed by volunteer doctors and nurses, in order to provide local people with immediate car¢ on a more regular basis. All these are aimed at building community cooperation, which has been acknowledged by both officials and local people as very positive.
Fulalli Ministrles Trust Charity Number 1096807 Report of the Trustees for the year ended 30 September 2024 - continued As continuation of proinoting education, Jam Tan the primary school continues to flourish. The building of a high school is in order to help establish a continuity in the education of local children, from primary age through to secondary level. The amount of displaced people coming to the area continues to add pressure on Jam Tan to be creative in providing education opportunities for children. The launch of a new club for chil(tren and youiig people has proved very popular with those ages. The new Fulani Ministries website, primarily sponsored by the Fulani Ministries Trust we are pleased to report is helping to promote awareiiess of the Trust and Jam Tan activities. There continues to be increased security problems in Burkina Faso and other neighbouring countries, are a serious concern as terrorist activity is widcspread. There have b¢¢n attacks on churclies and police, security forces and on the general population. Some pastors and chui'ch m¢inb¢rs havc been killcd and others displac¢d. Many schools have clos¢d due to terrorist attacks, and people are displaced. The increased threat to people and villages particularly in the north of the country comes from terrorists who cross the borders from neighbouring countries. This has caused a significant increase of displaced people within Burkina Faso to 2.6 million people. We acknowledge with dianks all who help us with support and ¢ncouragcin¢nt and to th¢ t¢am members in Burkina Faso who are at the sharp end of the trust's activities. The trustees continue to monitor thc security situation with a vicw to taking such st¢ps as inay b¢com¢ n¢cessary. FulAni Ministries Trust Independent examlner's report to the trustees of Fulani Ministries Trust I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 30 septnber 2024, which are set out on these pages. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. you consider that the audit requirement of section 43{2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) does not apply. It is my reponsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commisioners under section 43 (7)(b) of the Act, whether particular matters have come to iny attention. Basis of examiner's statement My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those Tecords. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees conceniing any such mattCFS. Thc proc¢dures und¢rtak¢n do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on th¢ vicw givcn by th¢ accounts. Independent examiner's statement In connection with my examination, no matter lias come to niy attltIOn (l ) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to kcep accounting records in accordance with sectioii 41 of the Act. and to prepare accounts which accord with those records and to comply with the acwuntiiig rcquiremcnts of thc Act have not been met and (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
