In preparing the financial statements, fhe Irustees are resfvxjnsibk for assessing the ¢harilable company's

Audltor responsibilities for the audlt of the financlal statoments
Our objectives are to obtsn reasonable as5uran￿ ab)ut wwer the fmnoal ststements as a whde are
free from material misstatemenl, whether due lo fraud or error. and to issue an auditorfs repcrt that indLtde8
our oplnion. Reasonable assurdnrt is a high level of assurance, but is not a guarantee that an audit
conducted in accordan￿ with ISAS (UK) wll always detect a material misstatement when tt exists.
Misstatements can arise from fraud or error and ar& consKlered materi81 rf. indTrwdually or in the aggr￿al8,
they could reasonabty be expected to influence the economic decisions of users taken on the basis of these
nanual slalements.
Irregularities. induding fraud, ere instsnces of r￿)n<￿F￿1ance wilh laws and wulation5. We design
procèdures in line wtth our respons*)ilitres, ouuiwled atove. to detect malerHI mi%st81ements In respect of
irregularilios, including fraud.
As part of our audit work, w8 obtsined an undet5tsnding of the legal and regulatory frameworks applicable
to the tharity and the sector in which they operate. We delerniined that the laws and regulations most
significant lo the charity indude ￿MplIanCe wth Health & Safety and GDPR, as well as the laws and
regulations that have a direct impact on the pieparath)n of the financial statements such as the Charities Act
2011, the Companies Act 2006 and comrAiance wth the Charities Slat8ment of Recommended Praetice.
The speufic procedures for this engagement arKI the extent io these are c*pabte of detecting
irregularities. indudlng fraud is detailed below..
Discussion wlth manag8mont ag to how Complian￿ with these laws arKI regulations is rnonilored"
Enquiries of rnanage￿nl conceming aciual aThJ potenthql litigalion and daims",
Perfomiing an￿Y￿¢81 procedures to idenlfy any unusual or unexpected ￿lationShipS that may
indicate risks of material misstalemenl due to fraud..
Reviewing minutes of trustee meetings and C￿￿e$pc￿den￿ wilh regulators.,
Perforniing audit wrmk in connecllon WFth the risk of management ove￿Ide of controls, Including
testing journal entries for reasonablené&s and evaluating the bLtsiness rats"onal8 of $Sgniftcant
trans8Ctions outside the normal r￿u[Se of business.
We also communicate relevant idenlrfied laws and regulation5 and potential fraud risk to all engagement
tèam members and remain alert to any indicati￿S of fraud or non-wmpliance with laws and regulations
throughout the audil.
Because of the inherent limilations of an audit, Iherg is a risk thatwe will rK>I detecl au irregularities, including
those leading to a malerial mis51alement in the financial stslements or nOn￿MplIS￿ee WEth regulation. This
risk increases the more that compliancewrth a law or regulation is remov•J from the events and transactions
rellected In th& financial statements. as we will be less likety to bec4)rrt awa￿ of irthnces of non-
c&￿PIlanC￿. The risk is also greater regarding irregularities ctcurrtng due to fraud ralher than 8rror, as fraud
involves intenlional concealment, forgery, collus￿, Omi￿on or misrepresentstion.
