Governing document
The trustees present their report along with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31st March 2024. The financial statements comply with the charity’s trust deed and applicable law.
Objectives
To advance the Christian faith and religion and exercise Christian charity by making grants to The Farnhams and Hedgerley Community Church and to other Christian churches, Assemblies, Missions, Missionary Societies or Institutions.
Review of Activities
When considering our grant-making policy for the year, the trustees have considered the Commission’s guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion.
The trust holds funds to assist The Farnhams and Hedgerley Community Church which operates under its own CIO and appropriate policies. The Church employs one part-time worker to assist with its activities. The activities of the church include a community hub for all ages including mothers and toddlers. The Church also holds a religious service on Sunday mornings for worship and teaching. These activities are open to the whole community.
Reserves policy
The charity has no major administrative expenses.
It is the charity’s policy to maintain sufficient reserves to meet any expenses.
Grant making policy
The Trust’s grant making policy is to use its funds to assist The Farnhams and Hedgerley Community Church.
Rights to appoint trustees
The trustees have the right to appoint trustees in accordance with the trust deed.
