We design procedures in line with our responsibilities, outlined abov6, to d6tect material misstat8ments in respect of irregularities, including fraud to detect material misstalernents in respect of irreoularities, including fraud. The extent tc which our procedures are capable of detecting irregularities, including fraud is detailad b810w: We have ccnsldered the nature of the $6Ctor, control anvironment and the Charity's performance,. We have considered the results of our enquiries of management and the Trustees in relation to their own identification and ass8ssm6nt of th8 risks of irregularities., We have reviewed the documentation of key processes and controls and performed walkthroughs of transaclions to confirm that th8 SySt8ms are operating in line with documentation- We have identified any matters having obtained and reviewed the Charty's documentation of their policies and procedures r61ating lo.. identifylng, evaluating and complying with laws and regulaliony and whether they were aware of any instances of non compliance., detecting and responding to the risks of fraud 8nd whelher they have knowledge of any actual, suspected or alleged fraud., the internal controls established to mitigate risks of fraud or non compliance with laws and regulations., We have considered the matters discussed among the audit engagemont team regarding how and where fraud might occur in the financial stat8m8nts and any potential indicators of fraud. As a result of these procedures, we considered the opportuniLies and incentives that may exist within the organisation for fraud, which included incorr6Ct r8cognition of revenue, management override of controls using manual joumal èntries, purchase ledger, and identified the greatest potential for fraud as incorrect recognition of revenue and management override using manual journal entries In common with all audits under ISAS (UK), we are also required to perform spectfic procedures to respond to the risk of management override.

The key laws and regulations we considered in this context included the Charities Act 2011, Charity SORP 2019, FRS102 and the terms and condition5 attaching to material grants received by the Charity. In addition, we ¢onsider8d provisions of other laws and regulations that do not have a direct effect on the financial stalements but compliance wlth which may be fundamental to the Charity's ability to operate or to avoid a material penalty. These included the Health & Social Care Act, data protection regulations, health and safety regulations, employment legislation, the Code of Fundraising Practice and gambling legislation. Our procedures to re8pond to risks identified included the following: Revi6wing the financial statement disclosures and lesting to supporting documenlation to assess compliance with provisions of relevant laws and regulations described as having a direct effect on the financial statements; Performing analytical procedures tc Identify any unusual or unexpected relalionships that may indic8te risks of material misstatement due to fraud- Reviewing minutes of Trustee meetings. Enquiring of Truste8s and manag8m&nt concerning actual and potential litigation and claims., Performing delailed transactional testing in relation to the recognition of income, specifically grants and legacies, with a particular focus around year-end cut off., and In sddressing the risk offraud through management override of controls, testing the appropriateness of joumal entries and other adjustments,. assessing wh8th8r th8 judg8rn8nts made in making accounting estimates are indicative of a potential bias,, and evaluating the business rationale of significant transactions that ar8 unusual or outside the normal course of business. We also communicated relevant identified laws and regulations and potential fraud risks to all 8ngagemenl t8am m8mb&rs and remained alert to any indications offraud or non compliance with laws and regulations throughout the audit. A8 a result of the inherent limitations of an audit, there is a risk that not all irregularilles, including a material misstatement in financial statements or non-cornpliance with r8gulation, will b8 detected by us, The risk increases the further removed compliance with a law and regulation is from th8 events and transactions reflected in the financial statements, given wewill be less likely to be aware of it, or should the irregularity occur as a result of fraud rather than a one-off error, as this may involv8 intentional concealment, forgery, collusion, omission or misrepresentation.
