- General information discussed:
Last year we were extremely grateful to have received several legacies, which really helped support our outgoings. However, this last year we have not received these and this has dramatically reduced our overall income. Charity boxes used to be a good reliable source of income but now very disappointing due the fact that people do not carry cash anymore, opting instead to use cards and phones to pay for items, we now only empty the boxes when requested and the number of places that have a box has reduced.
The Trustees continually look for Fund Raising Ideas trying to attend Fetes and Events to raise money to keep our costs down, (weather permitting). But we do rely on Donations and Legacies from our wonderful supporters.
We have reduced our outgoings slightly, by taking in less animals at a time. This is because we are all getting a lot older and there have been a few occasions, especially over the winter months, where we have not had any volunteers available due to sickness and family emergencies. With Stacey being the only person on site, this leaves a lot for her to do alone. Limiting how many animals we have in at a time, rather than filling every pen, helps Stacey manage everything on those occasions. We have a superb bunch of loyal, reliable, Volunteers, many who have been with us for a very long time, who do turn up in all weathers. They work so hard, cleaning, grooming and feeding our animals, insuring they are all well looked after.
Healthy animals are found good homes, but elderly, or blind Pets or Poultry with health issues or medical problems will live out their lives in peace here at the Sanctuary. This is also a regular cost to the Sanctuary for added Medications and Vet bills. Heated beds; Night lights; Special Diet Foods.
We have kept the usual stream of D of E and college students doing work experience, the high Insurance adds to our expenses also then in turn means someone must complete records for each of the students, this can be time consuming, (but sometimes very rewarding).

charity ( the Trust") for the year ended
Responslbllities and As the charity trustees of th8 Trust, you are responsible for the preparation

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
