Report of the Trustees for the year ended 30 June 2023
The Trustees present their report with the Income and Expenditure statement of the Charity for the year ended 30 June 2023.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY
The main objective of the Charity is to advance the education of the pupils of Brentwood School. In furtherance of these objectives the Charity may:

1) Foster the interests of the pupils of Brentwood School by promoting closer relationships amongst parents, friends, Brentwood alumni and staff and encouraging co-operation between home and school

2) Engage in activities which support Brentwood School and advance the education of the pupils attending it.

3) Provide and assist in the provision of facilities and equipment for education at Brentwood School, not normally provided by government agencies.

4) Endeavour to promote a sense of community amongst pupils, parents, teachers, governors and other persons connected to Brentwood School.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The charity generated deficit/surplus of (£3,017) (2022: 8,895) during the period.
Income generated during the period was £41,814 (2022: £24,692) and expenditure was £44,831 (2022: £15,797). Unrestricted funds held at the end of the period was £31,183 (2022: 34,200).
