Report of the Charity Trustees for Park Evangelical Church
The aim of the Church is to worship and serve God. We preach Jesus Christ as crucified, risen and Lord; seek to build up Christians in their knowledge and love of him; endeavour to make him known to others and try to share his love in practical ways.
Activities of the Church during 2024 have included Sunday services, Sunday school, Bible study and prayer, care work, evangelism, community groups, missionary support, a mums and toddlers group, youth clubs, a monthly community meal and social events to which friends and colleagues can be invited.
The church also continues to support church services at Hope Church Trent Vale run by one of our pastors.
We also have a fellowship fund to support members of the church family who are struggling financially, by providing shopping vouchers and financial support where necessary.
The church supports local organisations working with ex-offenders and addicts. Additionally, the church building is available for use by local residents and organisations.
During the year the leadership team has updated a number of its policies including it’s safeguarding policy.
The Church congregation has continued to be supportive of the local Food Bank in Stoke on Trent.
