Section D Summary of tha maln a¢hlevoments of tho charlty during the yaar Achievements and performance The choir has completed a full year's cycle of regular rehearsals froffl June 2022 to May 2023. laaming a mix of popular and Glasslcal music. It was a particularly signiflcant year for the Trust in three ways, Firstly, there has been a full recovery post Pandemic to more nomJal membership numb8rs and the thoir continues to attract new memb8rs. Thls has been a landmark year as the choir reach8d1ts 30 annlversary and c818braled wth a concert and a rn8mber's event, With the retiremènt of our Musical Director In July 2022, a new Musical Director was appointed from Septemb8r 2022. The new appointee has been instrum8ntal in engaglng audlances at the concerts explaining the background to thg music wa ar8 singing and adding supplementary programme notas to enable audiences to ream more. Furthemiore, the hoir r6gularty has education in improving thè quallty of thelr singing and in reading musical notation during reh8arsals. Th6 three concerts undertaken have had full audienc8s and the choir is proud to have gnabled three local charities to raise substantlal surns. The oharily for the July 2022 wncert was the John McN8ill Centre who collected £719. At the Christmas Concert for Salisbury Hospice £745 was collected. In March 2023. the Samaritans were well 5UPPOrted and collected over £1000 at the cholrfs concert. Total Incomo from membership fe6s has retumed to its nomal level and the choir is has now retumed to its normal three perforrnances a year pattern. The trust88s are also planning two choir tours. one to Wales In Jun8 2023 and anoth8r to France in 2024.Thgse will includ8 working collaboratiV8ly with local resld8nt choir5 and giving public p8rformances.
