June broughi a cream lea that was held the Hyd¢ m¢mori Hall, Hyde. A lovely day raising £678, t0pd up with a fUrtr £678.[, from £f(w£ match8 by Bardays BaDL Our next event was at the l(Kal Frogham Fair. We had a tr¢asure hunL which raised £81.00. September brought a coffe¢ rnorning at Godshill Villagc Ilall. a vcnuc 'd not used bcfor¢. tkspite a low attendance we raised £361.45. In October wc hcld a 1Z with ploughman's Sup at St Mary's Hall. A great ¢v¢ning raising £821.00. The1&8t ¢v¢nl in 2025 a stall at Fordingbridge Light Switch On. FOFS had engaged with the local prirnary schools in designing a ChristmL8 Card. The winners won book toke$ and their card5 wer¢ made into Christhia5 wds. h}S involv¢d [¢ Brcanxpre, Hyde, Hal¢. Ald¢rholt and Sandle Forres fvAanor. Event Taised £382.70, with £331.68 in card sales. A gazel Wds purchased for e at the outdoor events and proved very successful. FOFS also supw)rted th¢ first r¢cy¢ling Ix)x, £90.00, to ¢nabl¢ ejnpty blister pw¢ks to b¢ r¢¢ycl¢d. The charity h&s also 5UPEX)rted the surgery with sFKcialÉst communication training for reception, administrative al pharmacy staff at a cost of £5005.95. Thc absolute highlight of the year was the purchase of a health px)d and room for the use of patients and to supw)rt the Healthy Heart Programrne. Th¢ overall o)st was £22605.04. which in¢lLKled a grant of £12.000 from the Fordingbridge Town Council. The service provides supwrt to tIN)s¢ wkn have recently been bereav. Provide5 one to one supporL which is confidential. Most referrals come via patsent's discussion with the GP. The Rcd Cross service is highly valued by people living locally and 50m¢ wplc living furth¢r afield. Volunteers running the Fordingbridge service are based in a IakabIn in the TA car park near ihe ba¢k of Avonway. Wh¢¢lchairs and commodes are often required ai short notice, these can ofta) be wided. Equipmcnt loaned oul is clcarKd and stctiliscd in E&811¢i¥h by Red Cross ¢mploy¢¢s, Loans of equipment are free to the user but fuLqncial donations are welcome as is any other equipment ih can be loaned or sold. The Red Cross service is a drain on the fin&wAs of the Red Cross and for this reason the service has closed in most of Hampskn're. It is secure in Fordingibridge untsl March 2027. The roles al the Covid and CovithFlu clinics in A¥xil and October 2025 we all easily filled. Workn'ng with the surgery team these clinics run very smoothly. It is also very satisfying to receive positive comrnents from the public about the efficiency of the OTations. Generous donations were given for the FOFS, wtu'ch also demonstrates the public's satisfaction. A5 1 wri thi's rert preratiOnS arc undenvay for the next clinic on Saturday 18 April 2026. In December last year the volunteets were once again invited by the Mayor of Fordingbridge to a thank you tea at the Town Hall. There will be a new Chainnan elected and the focus for the coming year, will centre on raising the PTofil¢ of th¢ Pati¢trt ParticipatRon Group, along with trying to arrange some local ojucation evenings for patients.
