The trustees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their report with

Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statemeni of Recommended Prdctice applicable to charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)
(effective l January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND AcrtVlTIES
Objectives and aims
The object of the charity is to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the recreation or other physical leisure
litn¥ dLtivities for the bellefii of the community of St Just and the surrounding distri￿.
The charity coniinues to promote the centr¢ for Sports use including football, crickeL badminton, basketball and
pickleball and to continue to maintain and improve the Gym and its equipment in order to improve our offering to the
Community, along wtth fitness cl&ss opportunities throughout the week. Usage of the centre is gogd with Gym use
continuing to incre&se. The charity continues to review grant possibilities and new initiatives.
We review or aims, objectives and actÈvities at le￿ once each year to look at what we hav¢ ￿hieVed in the previous 12
months. We have referred to the guidance contsined in th¢ Charity Commission's general guidanc¢ on public benefit
when reviewing our aims and objectives and in planning our future activities. th particular, the trustees consider how
planned activitÉes will contribute to alms and objeciives th¢y have set.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves policy
The trust¢¢s aim to create sufficient reserves to ensure the charity can meet the repair and maintenance of the sports
centre and any fiJtt]re development.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMEKr

The charity is controlled by its governing documenL a deed of trusL and constitutes a limited company, limited by
guarantee. as defined by the Companies Act 2006.
Re¢rultment and appointment of new trustees
Promotion is done to recrutt members of the charity who then nonlinate and vote for ttustees from that membership OT
elsewhere on the basis of their skills and knowledge. New ttustees are infonned of their duties and are provided with
infonnation about the charity.

the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act,).
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of th¢ Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act
and are eligible for ind¢pendent examination, I report in respect of my exarnination of your charity's accounts as Carried
niit ijnder Section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 201 l Acv). In carrying out my examination I have followed the
Directions given by the Charity Commission under Seciion 145(5) (b) of the 201 l Act.

The financial statements of the charitable company, which is a publi¢ benefit entity under FRS 102, have been
prepared in accordance witb the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement
of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordanc¢ with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2019),,
Financial Reporting Standard 102 The Financial Reporting Standard applieable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland, and the Companies Act ?006. The financial statements have been prepared under th¢ historical cost
onvention.
Ineome
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activtties once the charity h&5 entitlement to the funds, it
is probable that the income will be received and the amount ran be m¢a5ured Teliably.
Expenditure
Liabtlities are recognised as ¢xp¢nditur¢ as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the
charity to that expenditure. it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and
the amount of th¢ obligation can be measured reliaily. Exp¢ndirur¢ is accounted for on an accruals basis and has
been classifi¢d under headings that aggregate all cost related to th¢ category. Where cost5 cannot be directly
attributed to particular headin(vs they have been allocated to activities on a basi5 consistent with th¢ use of
resource5.

Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity.
Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when fim(ts are rdised for particular restricted purposes.
