Friends of Meersbrook Bank

## What’s Next

- Corporate sponsorship from local businesses. Using contacts from the school to highlight any potentials

- Matched funding is available with a number of businesses with offices in Sheffield. Need to find people connected to the school who work within so we are able to submit a successful application

Annual events to be repeated

   - Summer Social

   - Christmas Fayre

   - Quiz

   - Disco

- Although not a largely profitable event, the focus of the disco isn’t profit. It’s the experience for the children and will therefore continue to be hosted

- Nature Craft Club is also not focused on profit, but offering lower years a fun after school activity

- Grant applications will also be made when opportunities are identified

- Continue with ad-hoc community enriching events, for example the popular Easter Trail

- We can always use more trustees and members of FMBS. Engagement has improved YOY

## Thank Yous from The Chair

Firstly, I want to give my considerable thanks to Hannah Conduit who stepped down as Chair & Treasurer in September but continues to be a Trustee. Her support to me has been invaluable during this transition year.

Also, thanks to former co-chair Ruth Heydon for her continued support and impact from grant applications. Katie Ellis Doyle also deserves a special mention for the work she did last academic year which the school has benefited from this year.

And thank you to Jack Poole and Alex Westran for joining the Trustee team in our time of need.

I’d like to give a HUGE thanks to the individuals who have contributed so generously to the event calendar this year. We have had a packed programme which absolutely could not have gone out without the kind donations of time by FMBS parent volunteers.

Thank you to Mrs Harvey and the faculty at Meersbrook Bank Primary School. Your passion to consistently improve the students experience is infectious! And huge appreciation is given to the 10k runners!

Thank you to IPL Global, Marcegaglia, Gripple and the Facey Foundation. Without their generous donations we wouldn’t have been able to complete as much of the playground.

Thank you to James Halse for being the FMBS representative with Cat Lane Canter over the last few years and has stepped down from that role.

Finally thank you to each and every person for your involvement. Whether it be purchasing a cake at a bake sale, helping your child get sponsorship or volunteering your time at one of the events. We cannot do what we do without you!
