The Trustees have pleasure in recording Ihal the Charity has had another produclive year, meeling the needs of over
283 people in Bath and Bri5101. Mental health need in the UK. includin9 In Ejaih and Biistol. has risen. Dc5pile challenges
In the fundraising landscape, Soundwell responded lo Ihi5 need, particularly in areas of deprivalion and health inequality,
improving Iwes, supporting mental heallh recovery and connecting people through music therapy.

The coniinualion of all face-lo-face se55ions with one on-line group continuing
89 different people allended regular SGundwell sessions
227 people attended at least one outreach session

Support for people with a range of menlal heatlh needs.
We have made provision for people with complex and severe mental illness, for whom music therapy is the only
Irealmenl Ihey access for recovery. or where il is an important faclDr in their overall care. Alongside this, we
have offeied music Iherapy intervention as a prevenlalive tool to counter worsening mental illne55,' for
maintenance of good mental health.
Support for unpaid carers who access music Iherapy lo relieve isolation, for expression and peer-support.
Oui outreach work has continued to grow, deliverin9 19 se55ion5. 05 we look lo identify and support those
expeiiencing multiple health inequalitie5, particularly in areas of depfivation

OUT oulieach programme continued lo 11ourish this year. We were delighted to complele 2 series ol outreaches al a
socially prescribed lo wornen'5 group in Knowle West, Bri5101 and a mental health support group al Bath Mind. Our Bath
singing group were keen lo sing publicly and delivered their first performance premier al Bath City Farm, lo rapturous
applause, as part of Worid Mental Health Day. New WOTk includod some scoping support sessions with unpaid carers in
Bristol, following which we hope lo secure more funding for a regular carefs group in Bristol.
Fundraising and community awareness development culminaled in the following..
Through the generous support of Stuff, we launched our first ever Impact Repc,l. show.casing Soundwell.
work In 202312024. This was vilal in communicating our work lo o)mmissloners aid funders.
We took part in the debul Bristol Beacon event. Crealive Health In Aclion, with recordings broadcast of songs
written by Ihe fabulous women of Knowle Wesl. Bristol in their Soundwell sessions.
In May 2024, Soundwell presented Academic posters al the British Association of Music Th8rapy's conlerence,
Leicester.
New lunding was successfully secured thi5 year from the Workwell fund. lo prok'ide bespoke emotional support lo stay
in, or look for eirploymenl. for those struggling with Iheir mental health. We are exated lo be setting up a singing group
wilh this aini, lo be commenced in the Autumn of2025.
Through careful cost saving exercises. we have been able to maintain our regular groups and provide a high number of
outreaches Ihis year. Wilh menlal health need rising and funijraising becoming more challenging, we have a big job lo
meet need in 202512026. Vve will endeavour lo sustain the impacl of our work for those who need il the most.
We 3re grateful lo our friends at the Bedminster Quaker Meeting House. Bristol. and the City of Bath District Scout
Counul, who cA)ntinue to provide stable, calm space for the work lo continuo wilhoul disruplion.
Our financial report reflects our continued excellent financial management and monitoring, with year-end resulls
exc*eding pfojeGtions due lo (x)st saving measures implemented in the second half of Ihe year.
We have had a very sur￿$$fUl year in the face of an exlemal environment thal conlinues lo put pressure on people's
menial health. We will continue lo monitor our finance5 dosely as we enter a year of hlghar inflation and significant rises
in the ¢osl of living - recagnising the impact on staff, the charity and our dient5.
