FWK opinion re Pageantaccounts 2023 I have reconciled the transaction records to the bank statements and validated the internal record keeping through the 'suspense account, of envelopes. There is some money which does not pass through the bank account but the amounts involved are a small proportion of the total transactions and this situation would be normal in charitable work of this nature. I have also validated a sample of larger transactions of different categories against the evidence provided and have found nothing to indicate that the transaction records are not an accurate reflection of the actual transactions. The accounts presented at the 2024 AGM contained some small errors in relation to the income split between membership fees and sponsorship, a missing transaction, the bank and envelope balances and the value of Gambian assets. Updated accounts have therefore been prepared for 2023 to correct these errors. My opinion is based on these updated accounts but I have no hesitation in confirming my opinion that, from the information presented to me, the updated accounts represent a true and fair picture of the charity's activities during 2023.
