Mental Wellbeingi Friendships & Relationships
It is well documented that therapeutic
activities have a hugely positive impact on 8
person's mental wellbeing. Some people with
a learning disability also have 3 co-existing
mental health condition and we offer a range
of therapeutic activities that promotes and
improves mental wellbeing. Encouraging
and supporting people to explore and use
their crèative talent helps them express thelr
emotions and feelir)gs, reduces anxiety and
str￿S and promotes self-discovery. There is
nothing rnore rewarding than seeing Soméone
realise that they have a special talent and so
many of our service users have exceptional
creatwe talentsthat often go unseen.
Our programme includes art therapy, dance,
drama & MLJSIC, horticulture, pottery and
woodwork, and all of these activities are proven
to have a benef icial and positive impact on
mental wellbeing.
A really Important part of our work is
supporting people to build newfriendships
and relationships and improve their sense of
community and belonging. All of our service
users enjoy benef it in some way f rom being
partofour¢ommunity, and ensuring that there
are plenty of opportunities for them to socialise
with one anothèr in which évèr way they feél

need a friend, and it is so rewarding to see the
f riendships that develop between our service
users and the positive impact that this has on
