The trusteès have adopted the provlsions of Accounting and Raporting by Charitiès- Statement of Recommended Practi applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102) (effeclive 1 January 2a19). Objectivos and actlviti08 The Community Association alsa continues lo fulfil an original part of its r8mit in supporting creativ8 micro buslnesses in Wandsworth through the provision of buslness unlts whlch are licensed to such small businesses at very affordable rates. The Community Association also operates a fully functioning receplioned business centre which hosts th8$8 facilitles and buslness units. Objectlves and alms The Community Associatlon 15 established to promote. in north Battersea in general, and th8 Doddington and Rollo Estates (h8reaft8r referred to as DRCA) in particular, opportunltles for employment and job creation lo encourage education and training and to provlde in those areas, faclllties for recreation and community activities. The Community Association supports local community groups by offering subsidised space for meetings and activities, and continues to fulfll tts charitable aims and objectives by providing subsidies to the charitable, voluntsry, community and faith based organisations that hav8 premises at DRCA. DRCA also contrlbute8 to the provision of activities and events for local children and families. Recrultm•nt and appolntment of trustees Membership is restricted to peop16 who liv8 or work on th8 Doddington and Rollo Estates and trustees are elected by the members at each Annual G8n8ral Meetlng to $8rve until the next Annual G8ner81 Meeting. Behveen Annual General Meetings, the management committee has power to appoint further members to fill casual vacancies that arise. They can also co-opt up to four further members at any time, subject to approval of thg next General Meeting following th8ir appointment. Doddlngton & Rollo Community Association Report of the Trustees Review of Business The financial year continued our recovery from a serious issue caused by a subsequently sacked senior m8mb8r of staff. a recovery that was further aided by the addition of some very experienced tsam members. Over th8 ar the Trustees Succeeded in str8ngthening financial oversight and significantly improving operatlonal efficiency as more historical issu8s w8r8 brought to light and r8pair8d. As such the trustee's determination to ensure the charity's long-temi sustainability has resulted in substantial improv8menls to how the DRCA is run. Having stabilised our financial position and operation, the DRCA has continued its historic commitment to supporting creative micro-business8s and tradès through our affordable Ilcenslng mod81 and, as such, fosters a diverse set of small business activities including upholstery, curtain making, music produdion, carpentry, catering, sound dasign. hairdressing, instrument repair and furniture making. Further in line with our charitable and socially supportive objectlves, the DRCA has continu8d to provide subsl8ntlal 5ubsldies to charit18s, voluntary sector organi5ations, community groups and f8ith-based initiatives. As such our facilities host a wide range of activities induding yoga, exercise classes, Ih8rapy sessions, mental health groups, community engagement programmes, senior Citizen groups, the local resident association, local councll community consultation sessions, Safer Neighbourhood meetings and dance classes. Th8 Trust8es remain committed to further ensuring the DRCA'S strong future and positlve impact in support of community initiatives and local creative micro-businesses. This subsidy supports organisations that align with our objectives of community development and social impact. For the financial year ended 31 March 2025, we recelved a total of £183,804 in rental income. Based on market rental rates, the estimated full market value of these units is £262,577, resulting in a total subsidy contribution of £78,773.
