Dogs were customarily collected f rom council pou nds, however. more recently since micro-chipping was made compulsory, the majority of dogs tend to originate from owners who have to part with their dog for reasons such as 'moving to a new property and can't take the dog, taking full time employment, or a baby on the way, people dying. Home-checks are carried out before the dogs are re-homed. The charity operates a shop based in Skegness to raise funds and this is managed by a paid manager. and maintained by volunteers who give their time freely to help raise funds for the charity. Funds are also received by donations and from events held e.g.. Tombola. Financial Review Review of the charity s financial position at the end of the period Para 121 The Charity has been bequeathed a 40Yo of residue of the estate under the terms of a Will of one of our Charity's founder, the late Keith Smith'5, friends. This has provided us some ease of financial pressure. As a Charity we are aware of the financial pressures which will be encountered regarding Kennelling, Veterinary fees and the cost of running the Charity Shop but have, after careful consideration, signed a new three-year Lease for the shop which commenced on 1st January 2024. Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Keith’s Rescue Dogs
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Keith’s Rescue Dogs (the Charity) for the year ended 05 April 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity’s trustees of the Charity, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matter in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
