23 children attending kindergarten. Parent and Child; 8 regular families,
Emily the Deputy at kindergarten is on Maternity leave at the moment.
Saskia has nearly finished her apprenticeship Kasia, who is covering for Emily, is having a look at all the trainings on offer.
Anna has been volunteering at kindergarten, which has been a huge help.
Ofsted visited for an inspection on the 30[th] November, 2022. We were given ‘Good’ for everything.
The new build of the community centre has been put on hold for financial reasons.
Fundraising; we ran an Advent Fair in Kings Langley, we raised £2000. Many past families and friends came to help. It was a community event.
We also did a Midsummer event in the kindergarten’s garden, this raised nearly a £1000, again many past families came to join us.
We are now organising tea afternoons, twice a term for families to get together, these have been popular for the present families connected to the kindergarten.
Past and present families came to join us for the Lantern festival, which we celebrated by decorating the kindergarten with lights followed by carrying our lanterns and singing in the park, some parents came with their instruments.
The holiday camps are proving popular with past families. We try and hold one during each holiday.
Kindergarten has £31.000 in the bank account at present.

In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have prepared for your approval the accounts of St Albans Steiner Kindergarten Limited for the year ended 31 August 2023 as set out on pages 3 to 4 from the company's accounting records and from information and explanations you have given us.

1 General information
The company is a company limited by guarantee, incorporated in England, and consequently does not have share capital. Each of the members is liable to contribute an amount not exceeding £1 towards the assets of the company in the event of liquidation.

Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 105 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime'.
For the financial year ending 31 August 2023 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
Directors' responsibilities:

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordance with section 476; and

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
