Welcome to the AGM. May 26[th] 2021 Meetings are being held via ‘Zoom’.
At present we have 18 children attending the kindergarten. We have continued to use ‘Zoom’ when children are needing to stay at home. 12 families are regularly attending the Parent and Child session on Fridays.
We have had changes in staffing. This has been due to the Covid pandemic, struggling to juggle the needs of family and kindergarten.
Financially, we still have a healthy bank balance with £16,000, in the account. Due to the pandemic, we have not been able to do any fund raising.
At the beginning of the pandemic, the town council proposed to rebuild the community centre, agreeing that they will cover the costs.
The design has had input from the community centre trustees. The kindergarten is expected to be part of the new building. Zanna is still a trustee at the Centre. There are plans to provide temporary accommodation for the kindergarten and other regular users including outdoor play space from this summer whilst work is underway.
We are waiting for an Ofsted visit, as one was due last year.
We all continue to enjoy working in the kindergarten, but all the staff have two jobs, in order to maintain a reasonable standard of living, and this is a concern for the future of the kindergarten.

In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have prepared for your approval the accounts of St Albans Steiner Kindergarten Limited for the year ended 31 August 2021 as set out on pages 3 to 5 from the company's accounting records and from information and explanations you have given us.
As a practising member firm of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at

This report is made solely to the Board of Directors of St Albans Steiner Kindergarten Limited, as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter. 1 General information
The company is a company limited by guarantee, incorporated in England, and consequently does not have share capital. Each of the members is liable to contribute an amount not exceeding £1 towards the assets of the company in the event of liquidation.

Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 105 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime'.
2 Staff numbers
The average number of persons employed by the company (including directors) during the year, was 0 (2020 - 5).
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
For the financial year ending 31 August 2021 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
Directors' responsibilities:

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordance with section 476; and

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
