Para 1.20 | The post-COVID period and current ‘cost of living crisis’ has presented challenges to the School, the support it needs from the Friends and how we can raise much needed funds. Key achievements this year included: Raising £13.5k in two main fundraisers – hardship and staff welfare. Raising £12k from the Christmas Fair and Quiz Night. Raising £2.5k from the sale of second- hand uniform. Making grants of £23k to The School for a range of projects, including the reading garden (£9k), sports equipment (£4k) staff welfare (£3.5k), art (£2.5k), and wellness workshops for parents and carers (£2k). |

Para 1.21 | At the year end, the Charity had cash and bank funds of £61k. There were no other assets or liabilities. £30k of this balance were unrestricted funds although the Trustees have ringfenced £1k for hardship claims being discussed at the year-end. £31k of this balance were restricted funds for five campaigns (inc £16k for staff welfare, £10k for hardship and small grants and £4k for art equipment). |

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/08/2023 .
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
