**Objects:** THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ARE TO ADVANCE EDUCATION PARTICULARLY IN THE FIELDS OF LANGUAGE AND LITERACY AND WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY TO:PROMOTE RESEARCH INTO SUCH FIELDS AND DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS; AND DEVELOP AND PROMOTE THE USE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION  TECHNOLOGY IN THE FIELDS OF LANGUAGE AND LITERACY

**Activities:** Work with all those who are involved in literacy teaching in schools, the publishing industry and the wider system in the UK. Provide training, resources and support to develop and research the teaching of literacy and knowledge about children's literature. Increase awareness effective and creative literacy teaching to influence policy and practice to raise the achievement of children.
