mirac￿ Theatre 15 Comwall's longest running and most prollfic touring theatre company. For over four decades,
Miracle Theatre has been dedicated to delivering high-quallty, indusive live experientrs and making theatre
aC￿ssIb￿ to all, regardless of age or background. The company's lnnovaty.ve apwoach to storytelling and
commitment to comrnunity engagement have made it a beloved cultural Institution in Cornwan and the Isles of
Sdlty.
Mlrade Theatre is a chartty and recewes regular fundlng frorn Arts Council England 6nd Comwall Council.
This year wa5 the first year corning out of the Mirade Max project, funded by the UK Governtnent's Shared
Prosperity Fund. It saw an office rnove, change of personnel and conbnued investment in artstsc SUc￿Ssion
planning.

l. Twelfth Night
Twelfth Night was Mirade's summer tour for 2025 and the second with CtrArtistic Director Salty Cr(x)ks at the
helm. Two new (xst members, Jowan Jacobs and Plp Cwk, lolned for their first Mirade t￿r.
Twelfth Night toured to outdoor venues across Cornwall, The Is￿5 of Scilty, Devon and Dorset froffl June until the
end of Augu& playing 47 perf[xman￿S at 27 venues including castles, gardens and village gr*ns. Over 11,QOO
bd(et buyers, 25¥0 of whorn were new io Mlrade, came to see the produthon and 850/0 gave thow a 5 Slar
ratlng and 13Wo gave d 4 star. Community volunteer5 donated 200 kK)ur5 of titr£ helping with things like box
office, as5i5tÈng aUdIen￿ members or selling prograrnm￿. The￿ were three youth workshop5 assoclated wth
the pmductlon sponsored by Andrew Exelby Estste Agents, two female director5 were mentored and over 150
students attended shows.
2. Squirre15 and Quizzards.
Duri￿ summer 2025 Theatre Royal Plyinouth transformed their scene dock Into an outdoor perf0rrnan￿ space
ith specific programrning foT summer. Two Miracle shows were included as pop-up productlors, The Quizzards
and Squirrels.
Lr¢ addition The Squirrels were cornmissioned to appear at The FalnN)uth Oyster Festival as part of their family
friendly programmlng.

On Saturday 6th December, in conjunction with foundlng artist Keri Jessiman, Mirade's touring van wa5 decorated
and Santa dre55ed in traditional green, ready to collect presents which were then distrlbuted vla The SalvatycNI
Army and WILD Young Parents Projert to local charitie5 and families in need.
4. Small Miracles and Mlracle Young Company
Small Mlracles is our collective term for a prtNJramme of training* mentoring and opporbjnities for young people.
Small Mlracles includes work experience, workshopsi youth volunteering and Mirack Young Company, a pllot (
which took place from January to Aprll 2026.
Meeting at The Poly in Falmouth each week, a brilliant group of young people have been karnlng new theatre
5blls and creabng work in a space centred on creativity. CoThfiden￿ and'koving a go-. They took part In a ￿rIeS
of theatre masterclasses led by Mit7cle asgjoate artists, exploring writingi direthng, Shakespeare, design,
Costume, prop making and lechnlcal theatre.
Guided by our Qi-Artistit Director Sally Crooks and A￿ocIate Director (Youth), Hannah Stephens, we hwe seen
remarkable growth in a short time. Not just In skills, but in conlideKe, collaboration and the courage to step
fo￿ard and be Seen. This projed is part funded by Cornwall Community Foundation through their Young Minds
Hrst fund, supporting young people's etrrf)tional wellbeiNJ. Addf(ional money w65 raised via a fundraislng event
at The Comwall Tourism Awards 2025 and a winter raffle.
5. Exploration of new work
As part of Miracle's commitment to new work, Bill Scott and Salty Crooks have tr£en working with performers
Daniel Richards and Tom Adams, encouraging them through the writerg programme to produ￿ some prose
stories and songs based on backstage life on tour around the south west.
6. Made in Cornwall Scratch Nlght
Mlracle Theatre 15 part of a group of Comwall based arts orgalli%atlons who collaboT3te to supportemerging tslent
via a *ries of scratth nights. Miracle's sualth event took pla￿ at The Poly in Falmouth in January 2026 where 7
performers enjoyed a 15 minute slot each, playing to a full hDuse. After their session these artists We￿ ab￿ to
gain valuable feedback and mentoring about their performances and their work this work is part of the
companys commitment to fostering taknl ar￿ investlng in, and supporting, Cornwall's creats.ve sector.
7. The St Hilary Projec¢ winter 2026
In December 1926, tIE BBC tnade hi510ry with the first live radio broadcast from a remote rural
location.. Bethkhetn.. A Nativity Play, performed by the parishione￿ of St Hilary Church under the dlrecbon of
Reverend Bernard Walke. This pioneering motnent in outslde broadcasting. pla￿d a sm811 Cornish commuFIW at
the centre of a natlonal experlment- ble￿ing faith, technology, ancl art in a way that reg)nates far t*yond Its
me.
Through Mirade Lab, writer Zoe Alker has been working on a play to commernorate the centenary alongside a
programme of work that will celebrdte the heritage of Lhi5 milestone. Although the production will not tske place
untll winter 2026, a lrt of development and fundraislng work has taken place in readiness for trat.
Sttwrture and Managèment
2D25 brought with r( sorne change5 to the Tunning of company. ManagirE. Director Annie Ukleja, vtho had
been with Mirade sintr 1999, beft the company to pursue a freelance pr￿UcIng career and in July 2025 the
compan*s Offi￿ rel(Kated to smaller prernises with k)wer overheads at a thared workspace in Penryn.

With the end of Shared Prosperity Fund funding several fixed term roles within the company ended. Recruitment
started to rebuild the senior team with a Managing Director role and a new Developrnent Director ro￿, (the results
of which are In place but concluded in the financial year 26127).
The team continued to manage Mirade with dedicatkjn and a flexiblE attitude tri ensure that the Company
remalned r￿Illent and delivering projects with far reaching scope.
Bill Scott, Founder, CEO and Co-Artistic Thrector. Blll has written, adapted and directed over 50 productions for
the company

Sarah Ferrfe, Interiffl General Manager. Sarah joined in July 2025 to flll the gap Letween Annie leaving and new

Becky Coitrell-jury, Marketing Co-ordinator. Becky takes care of the marketlng and comrnunication5 for touring
work, the youth 51rJnd of work and the volunt&r network.
Madlenzie Scott-8ray, Finan￿ Manager. Mad(enzle is the ¢ompany's in-house Finan￿ Manager produclng
rnanagement accounts, budgeting and over*eing the work of the book keepers.
Hannah Stephens, Associate Dlrertor, Youth atKJ Community. Hannah works on developing the company's youth
and community offer indLKling Young Company, work experience and relationships with sch¢ols and colleges.

Board of Trustees and Governance
Miracle Theatre Trust has a board of highly eroaged and eXperien￿d trustees with a wlde cross section of artistic,
cuttural, commercol and financiol eXperiern￿. The full Btsard meets four times a yeBr and a Finance Sub-
Committee also meets Quarterly. Ad-hoc working groups are set UP as needed. Each year there is an addltlonal
away day strategy session with the Board and seniorteam for longer-term business planning. In 2025-2026 there
were nine trystee5 '. Mandy Berry {Chalrl, Andrew Edmunds, Oaran aarke, Jane Sutherland, Kamran Harandy,
Ross Williams, Satn Groom, Sue Kay and Sarah Mottart.
The Council England and Comwall Council funding agreements, and Mlrade Theatre's business plan are
supported and upheld by the trustees.

Commissions.. the Company eamed a Small amount of income from The Quizzards and Squirrels playing at a

Reserves policy and curr¢nt position
As a charity relying on a combinatyon of earned income and fundratslmgi Mlracle's Management and Board
recogni5e the importance of a reserve5 policy to 5?feguard against unforeseen Circumstan￿5.
The trustees, pollcy has been to build free r￿erVeS up to a mlnimum of three months of forecast core runnlng
costs- approximately £60,000 at 31* March 2026.
At 3LJI March 2026 the bakin￿ sheet shows unyestrlcted resetrves of £95,068 of which £12,259 is represented by
fixed ￿ets, ?nd free reserves are therefo￿ £82,809.
