I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2023.

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

Leicester, LE5 4HJ THE Trustses The Trustees who ser4ed the charity during the period We￿ as follows: Aimen Ahmed Alkabir Mahmud Ben Ramadan Abdul Basid Haji Brawe STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT TAYBAH CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION CENTRE is a charitable trusl governed by its trust deed executed on the 27th February 2002 and the trust was registered with the Charity Commission on the 29 of April 2002. The goveming document was amended on 15th April 2020. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The objectives of the organisation, as set out in its goveming document are: To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Leicester, in particular but not exclusively for the Arabic speaking community and the neighbourhood thereof (hereafter called the area of benefrt) by associating together wrth the said inhabrtants and local authorities, voluntary and other organisation in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of spiritual moral social cultural and other leisure time occupation with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants, and to establish or secure the establishment of a communtty centre and to maintain and manage the same whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body in furtherance of those objects. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE During the year, the Charity has provided a Mosque and Islamic Education facilrty for use by a local Islamic charity that benefrted over 500 people on a weekly basis. The Charity also hosted a multitude of Islamic Education talks for the public to increase their knowledge of Islam and to build spirituality. This benefrtted over 200 people. The charity also delivered recreational activities for young people on a weekly basis with over 30 young people benefrtling. In addttion, the charity hosted several social meetings with local public. The trustees also provided advice and guidance to local members of the public.

TAYBAH CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION CENTRE TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT (contlnuedj PERIOD TO 31 DECEMBER 2023 PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT The trustees have considered the general guidan￿ on public benefrt issued by the Charity Commission and have taken due regard of that guidance. The trustees consider that they are satisfied that the charrt￿8 activities do benefft the public as it is meeting an identrfiable need. The trustees have benefrtted many members of the public by allowing them to conduct their daily worship and to advan their education in Islam and build spirituality, as well as provide a facility to meet their needs. FINANCIAL REVIEW TAYBAH CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION CENTRE had secured funds from public donations and rental income totalling £91,765 which was higher than the P￿vIouS year income of £91,361 mainly due to higher grft aid received. These donated funds were general donations re￿iVed al Ihe Mosque premises and donations for costs for building work and related maintenance. During the year the charity had expenditure of £41,057 of which employmenl and service contract payments comprised of£13,136. It generated a surplus of£50,708 during the period to support its future charitable expenditure. Apart from the charity property, the charity has un￿Stricted reserves (net of creditors due) of £199,159 at Ihe end of the period which has been set aside for costs associated with the building extension and refurbishment project. The reseNes policy of the trustees is that they will retain all unrestricted reserves for meeting future charitable expenditure, including improvement and extension of the facility provided to the public in furtherance of the objects. PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS The trustees have plans lo continue providing the charity premises for use by local chaiities and community groups that advance Islam and support young people in meeting their needs. All these activrties will be in furtherance of the objects of the Charity.

TAYBAH CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION CENTRE TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT (¢ontlnu•d) PERIOD TO 31 DECEMBER 2023 RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRUSTEES The charity's trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice). The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to.. select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP (if applicable); make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent., state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any malerial departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it 18 inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the chaiity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply wrth the Charities Act 1993 and the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other i￿egUlarities. CONNECTED PARTY TRANSACTIONS During the year, Aimen Alkabir (trustee) received remuneration of £4,000 under a Serrfice contract lo provide Islamic services induding Shariah advice, guidance and counselling. During the year Aimen Alkabir also paid rent to the charity totslling £5,000 for office use. Both of these were authorised and in the best interests of the Charity.
