**Objects:** THE COMPANY'S OBJECTS ARE:-TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND TO CONSERVE AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT IN PARTICULAR BY CARRYING OUT RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF POVERTY IN AN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTEXT AND PUBLICISING THE RESULTS OF THAT RESEARCH."

**Activities:** We focused on the Sustainable Communities Act. This involves policies to combat the joint problems of poverty and environmental decline; and sets up a mechanism whereby those policies will be driven by local communities. We also made grants for the promotion of the Act.We funded an investigation into the social and environmental effects of energy policy.
