OBJECTIVES
World Mandate Ministries exists as a registered charity. The objectives are: -
-
1) The advancement of the Christian religion in accordance with the teaching of evangelism, in particular through the provision of classes and opportunities to study the Bible.
-
2) The relief of poverty of individuals who are in need through the provision and distribution of goods, clothing and other services.
HOW OUR ACTIVITIES DELIVER PUBLIC BENEFIT
The charity objectives have been broken down into three headings: -
-
Preaching the Gospel - Making known the message of God’s love
-
Equipping the Saints - enabling and releasing church members to serve God and their communities
-
Feeding the Poor - practical support to the needy
The Trustees consider that through the activities and provision of services by the Charity, the public is greatly benefited by -
-
Preaching the gospel: - through preaching of the Christian message in churches and other settings, where there are individuals who want to hear what is being said.
-
Along with explaining the message of Christianity, there is practical evidence of the positive hope that Christians have, through our school, missions, preaching and life!
-
This is further evidenced by the fact that individual lives are transformed through the encounter of God and His people who serve and help in practical ways.
-
Equipping the Saints: - through teaching believers how to live out their faith in ways that make a difference in their local communities and the world at large. We do that through our Bible School, Every Nation by School UK, conferences, preaching and teaching engagements, cross-cultural mission trips, individual and peer mentoring and by our own personal examples in the way in which we live and conduct our lives.
-
Lives continue to be transformed as individuals that attend the Bible School testify of the
-
personal learning that transmutes into areas of constructive and practical contributions to their local communities and to the world. at their equipping events, such as conferences, seminars, mentoring and other means, grow in confidence, self-esteem and increased sense of self worth that they have something to contribute to their communities, society and humanity.

HOW OUR ACTIVITIES DELIVER PUBLIC BENEFIT cont...
COMPASSION WORLD WIDE FORMER CHARITY SHOP was very
popular and had become a hub in the community. It was a shop that raised money for charitable donations, support orphans through school in both Uganda and Jamaica. It was also a place where acts of kindness happened on a regular basis. Our volunteers became aware of the needs of the customers and stepped up in ways that demonstrated non-judgemental love care and value of how each person matters.
They gave a listening ears and broad shoulders of comfort and support.
The shop was forced to close during the 2020 pandemic as a result of the poor health of the landlord. It is hard to enumerate the impact this little shop had on the community. However, one incident stands out among many, whereby a regular customer would come in and chat with the volunteer staff. This particular customer suffered with long-term life limiting chronic depression and a form of agoraphobia. Within a very short time of befriending the shop volunteers, through the love, support and care they received from the volunteers, the customer grew in confidence and became more outgoing. That customer eventually became a part-time volunteer working for World Mandate Ministries. Their life was transformed forever.
We are only too aware that the lives of our staff and customers have benefited and been transformed, probably as much as the recipients of the money raised by the shop!
Following the sale of Mandate House in June 2021 the Trustees made the decision to continue to make provision for the relief of the poor and support other charities by way of funds from the property sale. In excess of £50,000.00 was placed into the Tithe Account from which all donations to the poor and others are made. This way we ensured that our vision to keep supporting the poor and need could be maintained until such time we were able to open another charity shop.
EVERY NATION BIBLE SCHOOL UK is one of the ways in which we help
Christians at every stage of maturity to learn something more of how to live out their faith and practically engage in their communities.
The courses that are run by the Bible School inevitably impact the community of each student as they contribute and relate to their neighbours and communities both locally and nationally, as Christ demonstrated.
Individuals are taught how to serve God, how to forgive, how to be gentle, how to explain the hope they have, how to pray, how to establish community projects, leadership skills, how to offer pastoral care to those encountering ‘end of life’ situations, plus much more.
People are equipped to serve in many and varied vocational capacities and go on to serve their local communities in meaningful ways.
The Bible School is biannually visited by an External Examiner to ensure that our management, systems, schemes of work, assessments are all fit for purpose. We are thrilled to report that the inspections held in 2022-23 reported excellent on all levels. We pay tribute to our amazing and hard-working staff and volunteers for this report.

As a Christian charity we particularly, and most importantly, express our gratitude and thanks to God for all His enablement and continued encouragement in all the work that we are doing in His Name.
The remainder of this report will describe the wonderful works that we have been able to conduct by God's grace as well as testifying of the fruitfulness of the said works.
As the purpose of going to Jamaica was to be available to serve and support Elaine’s mother, she recognised this would not be a full-time role. It was on that basis, Elaine agreed to continue to work online for three days a week. Her role will entail developing the ministry in Jamaica and further afield. This would mean that the staff team continue to be supported. A model that we believe would work well and, indeed, does work well.
Elaine also agreed that she would annually return to the UK for periods of time up to 8 weeks at a time, to be hands-on in the office and available to continue serving the ministry, churches and other ministries.
We are always encouraged, humbled and privileged when we receive letters, emails and phone calls from individuals who have engaged with staff members through the diversity of ministry that we offer. They testify of the transformation they have experienced through their engagement with World Mandate Ministries staff and the Christian ministry that has been extended to them. The best part of this individual transformation that takes place is that there has been an empowering and releasing of even more confident, strong, entrepreneurial, positive and bold individuals that are now out there in the world at large, making their contribution to a happier, healthier and more peaceful planet.
Our excellent pastoral team continue to meet with individuals, befriending and supporting them on a one-to-one basis. We regularly hear testimonies of individuals that have been helped to overcome life–controlling challenges. Through spending time with them, support and prayer, we witness individuals break chaotic cycles and re-establish normal and functioning lifestyles. Personal transformation can be a challenge to quantify, nevertheless transformation produces happier, emotionally stable people who become even more fruitful in their area of vocation. They too are empowered to make positive and lasting impact within their local communities. Our vision is that in 2024 this can become a more formal arrangement whereby we offer a drop-in service to individuals.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL
We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to save and transform lives. When we talk about saving lives we do so understanding that the word ‘save’ or ‘salvation’ means and is evidenced by the holistic restoration of a person. The person can be and is indeed restored in spirit, soul and body. We believe that Christianity is a faith that brings emotional, physical as well as spiritual peace, comfort and well-being. We believe that Christianity is not merely a religion with the belief system, we regularly witness the transformation of broken and chaotic lives being restored, which therefore enables individuals to live ordered lives from a place of well-being. This transformation empowers and enables individuals to be positive and constructive contributors to healthy and meaningful society and world at large.
We therefore seek to assist and support people to experience the blessing of a living faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, address mental health needs, offering support where requested and appropriate and receive prayer for physical healing where requested.
ENABLING BELIEVERS TO SERVE
Our amazing volunteers make a significant contribution to the running of Every Nation Bible School UK. They study and prepare classes, they give of their time to learn how to be even better tutors, they teach students, they mentors students, they mark student work and assignments. We are truly grateful to God for these outstanding individuals who take of the God-given gift that they have and graciously imparted into the lives of those who come to learn.
Their contribution is a genuine mark of their commitment to the work of World Mandate Ministries in that there donation of their time runs into hundreds if not thousands of hours.
In August 2021. Selina Forde was promoted from her volunteer role as Principal of Every Nation Bible School. UK. Elaine assumed the role of Associate Principal to enable Selina to flourish in her role and develop as Principal of the Bible School. Since that time Selina has continued to Enable, Educate and Encourage students, staff and the ministry at as a whole
We believe that every individual has been gifted of God to make a transformational contribution and difference to the world that is positive and constructive. It is with that belief that we run Every Nation Bible School UK. Through the Bible school we seek to empower and enable people from all walks of life to serve in ways to make their positive contribution to the world today. Our students have ranged from plumbers, to GPs, lawyers, accountants Social workers, scientists, schoolteachers, the range is endless. Suffice to say, Every Nation Bible School UK is meeting very practical needs in the lives of individuals, the outworking in the lives of students is life changing and revolutionary.
We continue to work with the church locally, nationally and internationally, training and equipping church members to serve God.
In November 2022 a pastor from South Africa who we had worked with in previous years made contact with us and expressed great interest in opening the door for ENBS to operate a satellite centre in South Africa. He informed us that the need for accredited Bible and religious institutions had now become a government issue to counter fraudulent religious activities. His previous experience with us led him to know of the integrity by which World Mandate Ministries and the ENB year’s operates. We are conducting meetings with this pastor and currently in the process of establishing links with other churches and groups in South Africa leading to the satellite centre becoming a reality.
Elaine is working in collaboration with the Church of God denomination in Jamaica, to establish an ENBS satellite centre, in Jamaica. This came about through an approach from the Church of God denomination, to assist them in their accreditation of their currently unaccredited theological seminary. The way it would work, would be that the theological seminary in Jamaica would operate under the same accreditation licence held by ENBS from NCFE. This has been fully discussed with and approved by NCFE.
The Annual Monitoring Review and External Examinations conducted by NCFE of ENBS again resulted in excellent reports. More discussed later in this report.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL
The Evangelist Roundtable volunteers operate under the auspices of World Mandate Ministries. Led by volunteer Rev Colette Barron. The unique element about the Roundtable, is that it serves the church by its volunteer team of evangelists team members working alongside, with and for the local church in equipping and mobilising the Church in its evangelistic endeavours. The volunteers come from a broad spectrum of denominations, this ensures there is no partisan spirit and everybody is serving the wider church and the wider community for the common good.
In 2022-2023, we were privileged to work alongside the diversity of Churches and ministries who joined us throughout this period, all team members volunteering their time to evangelism.
The Roundtable served churches and church groups for eight months out of the year. Points of outreach at Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and working with New Testament Church of God, Christ Image Assembly Church, Hope Church –Wellingborough, CUM Church in Northampton.
Healing on the Streets meets once a month in the town centre offering prayer for those who request. We can often be found supporting this service and ministry. Numerous people approach the stand for prayer and are greatly encouraged, supported and comforted to receive prayer on their behalf.
At Halloween , we handed out goody bags of hope, revealing God’s love and blessing people with prayer. People took the bags, were keenly interested to read the contents and happily received prayer.
At Christmas w e sang Christmas carols, proclaimed the gospel and had numerous conversations with people that were interested about the origins of Christmas and seeking peace in their hearts, lives and families at this special time.
On the Saturday before Mother’s Day , the team again were out on the streets, engaging in conversations with mums and families. Some Mothers shared of their personal experiences of the difficulties, trials and tribulations of life. Many requested prayers of comfort on their behalf. The mothers along with their children greatly appreciate prayers and express how comforted they felt after being prayed with.

That way all members of the team get to contribute to the great work that they are engaged in.
Market Harborough and Northampton - Easter outreaches were held across the two counties hosting Good Friday activities and on Easter Saturday.
Goody bags
Whenever the volunteers venture out onto the streets to talk to people, they always take goody bags with small gifts of chocolate’s and gives relevant to the season that we are in. The purpose of the bags is to demonstrate love and kindness to strangers so that they will feel that they are valued by others. The goody bags are underwritten by the volunteer team as their way of giving to the local community.
Northampton town centre has always been a pivotal place for evangelism outreach. We continue to meet faces both fresh and familiar. The familiar faces that now recognizes will often come and engage in conversation on then initiative and on many occasions requesting prayer.
We know that this work of being Christ in the Community makes a tremendous difference as people know we are present and feel very comforted that we are there and that they have someone to talk to if and when they need to.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL
Supporting the Bereaved
In March 2023 a young college youth with his whole life ahead of him, lovingly known as ’Fred’ was tragically murdered. Fred was stabbed and died after school on a Friday afternoon in the Kingsthorpe area of Northampton.
Volunteer, Rev Colette Barron immediately visited the site where Fred was murdered to offer practical support and be a listening ear of comfort to Fred’s grieving family, school friends and teachers who had gathered around a monument close to where he was violently stabbed.
Colette gave her broad shoulders and loving arms of comfort as she offered tremendous support to the bereaved and grieving. In many cases, simply holding them and physically supporting as they were overwrought with grief and wept uncontrollably. Furthermore, Colette mustered her wider team and they gathered again on the Saturday to support as more of Fred’s friends who wanted to be there.
BBC News were present and after observing the care and professionalism by which Colette served the bereaved and heartbroken, the BBC approached Colette, asking if she would be willing to give an interview about the recent events. Colette kindly obliged and the news of the tragic event was aired on the National BBC News that very night.
Colette contacted the school, Kingsthorpe College, volunteering her and her team’s support to the Head Teacher. The Head happily accepted Colette’s offer of support and Colette and team were invited to visit the college over a period of 3 days. They were specifically requested to deliver services of love, support, listening ears and comfort to both the students and staff.
They were given a specific time in which to do this on the days that they were present. This was to ensure that the school functioned as normal as possible in this difficult period. However, on one particular occasion, when their time was up, the administrator approach the team to prepare for them to leave as planned. The administrator noted the positive rapport that was taking place between the students and the team. She left the team allowing them to continue in their conversations of comfort to the heartbroken students and returned much later.
She then informed Colette, that when she saw what was taking place between them all, it was far too important and she did not want to disturb or interrupt it. She explained that she wanted the students to receive all that they needed to, even if it meant going over time. This is a testament to the professionalism and integrity by which the team operate.

The students were open to receiving from the team, with some not wanting to leave, even when their time was up. They simply wanted to sit and ‘be.’ Others wanted to talk about faith and were happy to receive prayer.

When the trial was taking place in the Crown Court, Colette and the team were once again approached by the Head Teacher and invited to return to Kingsthorpe College.
This time the Head felt that it was now prudent to have the team on hand for them to offer support to students and staff during the time of the trial, especially as that time had the potential to resurrect memories, further pain and distress.
Their presence was once more greatly appreciated, especially as the team were specifically able to serve the staff on this occasion.

Pentecost in the Park
In collaboration with many other churches and ministries across Northamptonshire, A joint event was held in Abington Park for Pentecost in the Park.
The team engaged with visitors to the event as they were dotted around the park having fun and enjoying time with family and friends with their picnics.
Churches shared in singing songs of worship and explaining The purpose of the Christian festival of Pentecost.
Pentecost in the Park in Northamptonshire is not an isolated event. It is part of a network of events that usually happens around the whole of the country on that day. These events have been happening for over 10 years and halted during the pandemic.
The local churches work collaboratively and in partnership with National Day of Prayer and Worship.
Visitors at the
World Mandate Ministries stand.
One of the purposes of Pentecost in the Park is to create an arena whereby members of the public can visit the different stands of the diversity of churches, ministries, clubs and societies that work together for the good of the community in Northamptonshire.
Visitors enjoy the array of stands that are present and engage in conversations with stallholders.
These are always great days with visitors specifically requesting return visits the following year.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL
In keeping with the Great Commission of Jesus in the making of disciples, our volunteers were able to run discipleship courses with a number of churches in the county. Some of the causes were face-to-face and some were held by way of ZOOM.
The Courses are run free of charge.
The idea behind these courses is to empower and equip Congregation members, so that as New converts begin attending their church they are able to help them with the rudimentary and foundational beliefs of the Christian faith.
The five week course that is used is a course called STARTING OFF. This has been a tried and tested model of early stage discipleship for many years. The fruit of which has resulted in people being firmly established in the Christian faith and going on to be able to engage in vocational service and activities that benefit the wider community where their churches are based.
We are extremely grateful to our volunteers that serve in the different churches with these courses. We know they are making a tremendous difference to their churches and local communities.
A sample of the material that is used in the presentation
of the discipleship course..
Elaine was also granted the amazing privilege and opportunity to speak on national radio BESS FM in Jamaica for a period for 3 months.
Initially invited to share of her journey to ministry, the hosts so appreciated Elaine’s talk, that she was invited to return for a number of weeks that followed.
Elaine spoke on various matters, including faith and current affairs. Before the end of her sessions radio each week
Elaine was requested to share a brief word of prayer and encouragement for the radio station staff, the people of Jamaica, the government and the nation.

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
Equipping and training the local church is the primary way the Charity equips Christian believers to serve.
Staff teams visit churches and groups of churches to equip and enable members to be even more competent in their work of service within the church and local communities.
World Mandate Ministries adheres very strongly to working with and supporting the local church in reaching, serving and being of public benefits to local communities. World Mandate Ministries will work with and serve any church regardless of denomination. Our goal is to help Christians to be effective in serving their local church and communities with their God-given gifts.
As an accredited teaching institution Every Nation Bible School believes that Continual Professional Development (CPD) is very important. To teach and equip others is an honour and privilege. It is therefore vital that tutors continue to receive input to make their teaching even more fruitful.
Almost all of our tutors are volunteers. Yet they are qualified to teach by way of their academic credentials, personal gifting, calling, ministry experience and certainly life experience. They are humble individuals who serve the Lord with the spirit of excellence. They are keen to develop themselves and receive ongoing training. Over the summer all our volunteers that teach attended a ‘refresher course’ on teaching in the classroom enabling them to be even more fruitful in and through their teaching ministry.
They also attend evening seminars that are held during the year that will upskill and further empower Then to be even more fruitful and effective in their service delivery. The two seminars that were held within this year were, Communication Skills and Spotting Deception in the Church.
EVERY NATION BIBLE SCHOOL UK (ENBS)
Every Nation Bible School UK is open to any member of the public who wishes to develop practical skills and abilities in Christian service and being able to serve their church and local community. All of the courses offered by the Bible School are Biblically based with the emphasis on practical equipping.
The courses are part-time, running either weekly, fortnightly or monthly, evenings and weekends. The Bible School is accredited and subject to thorough annual inspections by External Quality Assessments (EQA) ensuring that we meet rigorous and exacting standards of the National Awarding Organisation NCFE.
ENBS classrooms are environments of safety and encouragement. Teaching is powerful. Learning is fun, interactive and life-changing with ministry and impartation. Most importantly the opportunity is given to put into practice what has been learnt. This is done by way of an end of year Evangelistic mission/campaign, where students are released to work with the local church in community evangelism.
trajectories followed, improved personal self development, transformation and growth, which engenders new and heightened levels of confidence, self belief, self esteem and self worth. In themselves, these qualities whilst invisible are manifested visibly in and through constructive and positive contributions in their personal lives and wider communities.

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
Each year the students from ENBS plan and host 3-5 day evangelistic mission, following the ten month course. The outreach mission forms part of their end of year assessment, where ENBS UK and the students work with a local church delivering the activities to the people of Northampton.
The mission’s purpose is to release the Gifts of mugs are given students to work together as a team, having being equipped, and to work within the context of a local church, and then to host and deliver an evangelistic outreach.
The outreach activities are organised in entirety by the students. They are at this point supported by the tutors and staff team.
The outreach activities enables them to put into practice and apply all that they have learnt over the last ten months. In addition to this, students learn how to engage with church leaders and church members and other congregations outside of their own personal experience. These experiences are always great learning opportunities for the students.
Activities range from and include engaging with members of the public on the streets, on the doors and within their homes, leading Bible studies, teaching, preaching and mobilising the Church in outreach activities.
These times are always extremely engaging as students and church members work together in harmony and unison.
One thing that is commonly experienced, especially when the students visit people on their doors is that residents are extremely open and visibly moved as the teams visited their homes. Many residents allowed the team to pray with them. They testify of how uncommon it is for strangers to knock on their doors and demonstrate and express love and care for the said resident. The residents greatly appreciate these visits
The students and team went on the Market Square and Abington Street of Northampton. In this setting they sing songs of worship, music, team members sharing personal testimony of their faith in Christ. Activities for the children are provided, face painting, colouring and games that children can take away with them.
The outreach concludes on the Sunday as the students lead the Sunday morning worship service.
Again activity is organised and facilitated by the students whereby they preach, facilitate the service , lead in taking holy Communion as well as pray for those who request it at the conclusion of the service.
This outreach activity indeed provides ample opportunities for the spiritual growth, personal and professional development of the students as they step into arenas of activity for the very first time.
At the conclusion of the school year students always exclaim how the end of year outreach activities is the pinnacle of the course and contributes to being one of the most exciting activities of their lives to date.

EVERY NATION BIBLE SCHOOL UK HOLIDAY CLUB
One of our amazing volunteers Vanessa Morgan, has a very precious heart for children and young people. She had the vision of running a holiday club in their school summer holidays for children to attend for a few days.
Vanessa believes that the Christian faith is not merely for the adults but that children and young people can share in this as well. Vanessa believes that children know what they feel about certain things and felt that a holiday club could help some of the children in their social skills, interaction and development of relationships with children outside of their own families and religious settings.
Vanessa shared her vision with members of World Mandate Ministries team. The team were excited and Vanessa pulled together a strong team of eight other volunteers to pull Of the holiday club.
Vanessa was given free reign to lead and organise according to how she saw the vision of the holiday club running. To say that Vanessa and her team of outstanding volunteers did an excellent job, has to be somewhat of an understatement.
Vanessa and the team put together an exciting and fun packed programme for the days of the holiday club. The holiday club ran with military precision, all the volunteers knowing exactly what they should do, when they should do it, how they should do and who they should do it with.
The club ran for three days and all the children that attended were enthusiastic to the point of heartbroken when the holiday club ended on the third day. They called for, “More, more!”
It was a truly wonderful time. As World Mandate Ministries takes safeguarding extremely seriously, all the volunteers are DBS approved, Giving confidence to both team and parents that all workers are safe and credible and have the right to be serving precious little lives.
On the Sunday following the holiday club a prize-giving ceremony was held at Maranatha Gathering Church, awarding prizes for, completing their journey and exploration, good behavior, timekeeping, cooperation with team Plus more besides.

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
Every Nation Bible School UK hosted two MINISTERS OPEN DAY for local Ministers and Church Leaders to visit the Bible School and learn all about Every Nation Bible School, its vision and values.
One leader was so impacted and impressed by the quality of courses, tuition and team, that they immediately signed up members of the church leadership team to enroll onto one of the courses that was due to start shortly.
Volunteer Beverley, warmly welcoming visitors to the Open Day
We again ran, what is fast becoming one of our increasingly popular courses, Biblical Self Leadership. Excellent self leadership and management is an essential prerequisite if we are going to be fruitful leader of others.
The course runs for 5 sessions with options for day time or evening subject to numbers. Both face to face and zoom.
It is a course of personal development and transformation as students learn to lead and manage—self well!
As many members of the volunteers share during the Open Days.
They are delighted to tell of their experiences as ‘students’ that become ‘tutors.’ They testify of the impact and life transformation that they witness in the lives of those that they in turn deliver their services to.

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
AUGUST HOPE
Volunteers Kendra and Martin Lopez have carried on their hearts for some time a deep and caring passion for parents that have lost children to stillbirth, miscarriage and other infant loss syndromes.
AUGUST HOPE is a ministry that equips churches to help individuals and families carry the cross of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, infant loss, and infertility.
Whilst for the parent concerned, the style of loss may come under the title of a syndrome, the excruciating heartache and grief that ensues is certainly not a syndrome.
Through personal experience both Kendra and Martin recognised the lack of support to bereaved parents and with love and compassion, felt they wanted to address this to tender their experience, practical support and empathetic compassion to those who experienced this painful loss.
World Mandate Ministries, stand with and totally support Kendra and Martin in this ministry knowing of the life transforming power of the services that they deliver to those in need.
Kendra and Martin started: AUGUST HOPE as they recognised the gap that currently exists with little or no support or recognition within the church or outside of it, for families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. There are even fewer resources specifically created for them that operate on a frequent basis.
Kendra with her team of volunteers held their first Healing Day on Saturday 15th October 2022, to coincide with International Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Awareness Day.
conversations to minister to those who attended. They look forward to doing it again and are looking for more churches to partner with and host events.
They have completed their website and are active on Facebook and Instagram. Website address is www.augusthopeministries.com
Kendra says, “ We had the extraordinary privilege of connecting with women from all walks of life. It was a humbling experience to witness God at work in their lives.
Yet we believe the call is to do more and to reach out even further!”
Kendra will be writing a book, the purpose of which will be to offer an additional source of comfort to grieving women who may not be able to access a local August Hope chapter, but are looking for practical steps to find healing through Christ.

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
IMPACT STATEMENT FROM RECENT STUDENT
I came to know about the Practical Apologetic course through Elaine and Selina who invited me to the ENBS open day event.
I felt an inner prompting after the presentation to do the course immediately. I knew the course was relevant and that it would assist me with my desire to do more evangelism and outreach in obedience to the Great Commission. The inner prompt was confirmed when Selina offered the course as a gift.
The course resulted in a deepened desire and passion for evangelism and outreach. Practical Apologetics gave me a better understanding and knowledge of alternative world views and increased my cultural intelligence. My enthusiasm and commitment to the reaching others has been heightened. I was equipped with specific “tools” and I look forward to friendship evangelism at the gym, restaurants, jazz clubs and other social places and functions.
I and now giving of my time to assist other Christians, pastors and leaders encouraging and empowering them to share the gospel with greater love and understanding across various cultural boundaries.
The modules are well designed to meet their objectives. The lecturer is well prepared and allows for classroom interaction and further enrichment from the participants. Support material and references for further reading and research are provided for every module. The course is relevant to the South African context and current global events. Overall, the course is just amazing!!

WHAT THE INSPECTORS SAY
World Mandate Ministries by the Unstinting help of their outstanding volunteers strives for excellence in all of its endeavours. The Bible School is no exception and exceptionally high standards have been created, maintained and continue to develop throughout every academic year.
ENBS is biannually inspected by External Examiners with schemes of work, policies, protocols, management systems and matters relating to the efficient and effective running of the Bible School. We are thrilled to report that each year. Records “Outstanding” with no recommendations or areas of concern. Please see reports from the two visits held in 2022-2023. Even though no recommendations are made to ENBS, because of the high standards met by the Bible School, the ENBS continue to improve and develop courses as well as standards.
“The team continue to work meticulously within NCFE guidelines to structure and produce their courses and these have been further reviewed today.
The team continues to work very closely together to progress themselves, the learners, the qualifications and quality improvement that is further evident during this review. The qualification documentation is excellent, standardised and the audit trail is navigated through the faultless mapping to the learning outcomes/assessment feedback/signatures and dates and quality assurance - this is very welcome and appreciated thank you. All centre policies are updated annually and readily available. There have not been any incidences of malpractice or maladministration. Record keeping at the centre is meticulous and continues to improve - thank you.
The centre is continuously developing and now has provision of 16 courses - starting originally with just 1 - well done.” NCFE EQA

precious children is the only way out of poverty. We receive regular photographs updated along with annual school reports .
Financial grant assistance was given to help relieve poverty locally, nationally and internationally. Careful and prayerful consideration is given to the distribution of all funds raised. We take our responsibility as good stewards of public money extremely seriously. As good financial overseers, the charity only supported needs and smaller projects where a precise and exact audit trail of how the finances have been spent was accessible.
We are thrilled to be able to state that despite the closure of the charity shop, finances were still made available through the kind giving of individuals who knew that despite the closure of the charity shop monies were still required to support individuals, ministries and orphans. Due to this ongoing kindness World Mandate Ministries took the decision to support three more Orphans in Uganda.
We received photographs of the children, their school reports and letters that the children write, thanking us for their support and helping them through school.
We are absolutely thrilled, humbled and delighted all at the same time, of the difference that is being made to the lives of the precious children that are being supported through our kind donors. On the next pages you will see two reports of the excellent progress that to the children are making through their studies at school.

Practical apologetics
Our band new ‘Practical Apologetics’ 4- session course was launched in October 2022. It was a roaring success. The course was created, developed and delivered by Dr Ruth Ferguson, a long standing supporter and volunteer of World Mandate. Ruth is a retired GP and she carries a wealth of experience in evangelism that spans decades.
Christian apologetics is the art of being able to engage with people of other faiths, cultures and religions and engage in meaningful dialogue in respectful and courteous manner. Students on this course are taught the foundations of apologetics along with the practical engagement with people of other faiths.

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers and staff team.
Other sessions include prayer, training, ministry to churches mentoring the students

FEEDING THE POOR
FEEDING THE POOR
TITHING
The charity trustees adhere to the Biblical injunction of tithing. This means that 10% of all ‘undesignated’ income is put into a ‘tithe account, to meet the needs of other individuals, ministers and ministries in need that are bought to the attention of the trustees, including the schooling of these Ugandan children.
FEEDING THE POOR
World Mandate Ministries trustees firmly believe the words of the Bible that state, “If a man is hungry, then a simple ‘God bless you’ means absolutely nothing.” This is because, mere words are not able to change the plight of the hungry, the marginalised and the helpless.
We believe that care for the poor needs to be tangible, practical and relevant to those in need. In the absence of the charity shop World Mandate Ministries is committed to supporting the poor and marginalised in this and other countries.
Emanuel and Rachael’s school reports
Financial grant assistance was given to help relieve poverty locally, nationally and internationally.
Careful and prayerful consideration is given to the distribution of all funds raised. The charity only supported needs and smaller projects where an audit trail of how the finances have been spent was accessible.
Furthermore, it is our hope that in 2023-2024 we will be able to sponsor more children
We received photographs of the children, their school reports and letters that the children write, thanking us for their support and helping them through school.

FEEDING THE POOR
These delightful yet powerfully heart-warming and precious letters from the children that our sponsored through World Mandate Ministries, goes some way to demonstrating the impact being made by loving and generous donations and the gratitude of these precious children.

WORLD MANDATE MINISTRIES
REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2023
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2023. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The advancement of the Christian religion in accordance with the teaching of evangelism, in particular through the provision of classes and opportunities to study the bible.
The relief of poverty of individuals who are in need through the provision and distribution of goods, clothing and services.
Public benefit
The charity trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Commission in exercising their powers or duties.
The Trustees consider that through the activities and provision of services by the Charity, the public is greatly benefited by -
- Preaching the gospel: - through preaching of the Christian message in churches and individuals that want to hear. Along with teaching and learning how to explain the message of Christianity, there is practical evidence of the positive hope that Christians have, through our school, missions, preaching and life!
- Equipping the Saints: - teaching believers how to live out their faith in ways that make a difference in their local communities and the world at large. We do that through our Bible School, Every Nation by School UK, conferences, preaching and teaching engagements, cross-cultural mission trips, individual and peer mentoring and by our own personal examples in the way in which we live and conduct our lives.
- Feeding the poor: - the relief of poverty (by means of our Compassion World Wide Charity Shop, (now closed) along with the giving of 10% of all income from the general account of the charity.
More expanded details of our work carried out by the charity can be found in the Annual Report.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable activities
The charity has provided a wide range of ministry to individual, churches and groups of church. A more detailed breakdown of activities to be found in Annual Report.
The Annual Report is on the Charity Commission for England and Wales website. The Annual report whilst comprehensive, covers highlights and important news and activities of the work carried out by the ministry; as space does not permit in this document.
FINANCIAL REVIEW

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
The presentation currency of the financial statements is the Pound Sterling (£).
Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty
The preparation of financial statements requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates. It also requires the Trustees to exercise their judgement in the process of applying the accounting policies. The areas involving a higher degree of judgement or complexity, or areas where assumptions and estimates are significant to the financial statements are disclosed within the individual accounting policies below.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Grants offered subject to conditions which have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment but not accrued as expenditure.
Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The charity operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the charity's pension scheme are charged to the Statement of Financial Activities in the period to which they relate.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued
Financial instruments
Cash and cash equivalents in the balance sheet comprise cash at banks and in hand and short term deposits with an original maturity date of three months or less.
Debtors and creditors with no stated interest rate and receivable or payable within one year are recorded at transaction price. Any losses arising from impairment are recognised in the statement of comprehensive income under administrative expenses.
Financial liabilities and equity instruments are classified according to the substance of the contractual arrangements entered into. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the entity after deducting all of its financial liabilities.
Where the contractual obligations of financial instruments are equivalent to a similar debt instrument, those financial instruments are classed as financial liabilities. Financial liabilities are presented as such in the balance sheet. Finance costs and gains or losses relating to financial liabilities are included in the profit and loss account. Finance costs are calculated so as to produce a constant rate of return on the outstanding liability.
Going concern
No material uncertainties regarding going concern exist.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF WORLD MANDATE MINISTRIES
Independent examiner's report to the trustees of World Mandate Ministries
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of World Mandate Ministries (the Trust) for the year ended 31 August 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under Section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
-
accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by Section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
Use of our report
This report is made solely to the charity's trustees, as a body, in accordance with Part 4 of the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008. Our independent examination work has been undertaken so that we might state to the charity's trustees those matters we are required to state to them in an independent examiner's report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the charity's trustees as a body, for our independent examination work, for this report, or for the opinions we have formed.
