FEEDING THE POOR World Mandate Ministries trustees finnly believe the words of the Bible that state. 'If a Inan is hungry, then a simple 'God bless you, means absolutely nothing." This is because, mere words are not able to change the plight of the hungry, the marginalised and the helpless. We believe that care for the poor needs to be tangible, practical and relevant to those in need. In the absence of the eharit). shop World Mandate Ministries is Committed to supporting the poor and Inarginalised in this and other ¢ountrics.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL During the pandemic and lockdown season the team were still busy evangelising where possible on prayer walks, praying with people online: taking to the streets indiN'iduall)'. in sinall groups and through the Evangelism Roundtable. Praclically, emotionally and spiritually through the pandemic. the spin-off from this has been ongoing positive community relalion.%hips. The of SALVATION The team created a brand-new tract entitled A - Z of Salvation, each letter of the alphabet depicting the journey from Creation and God's rescue plan of salvation for mankind. A LONG r*pnpEiK I..1 tlme ago God created the heavens and the Èarth. The tract includes a Gospel presentation along with a salvation pra)ier. •Nj I/+ There is room on the back for churches to put their contact details so people can be referred to a local church. Beautifully created and inspired, this 32 page, full-colour Gospel tract comes in postcard size and is a wonderful resource for evangelism outreach and personal witness toolkit. It will serve any church regardless of denomination. Our goal is to equip Christians to be ¢ff¢¢tiv¢ in serving th¢ir local church and ¢ommuniti¢s with their God-given &Jjfts. With mixed feelings, we said, "Au Revoir" to lan and Ruth Campbell at the end of June 2021. They relocated back to Scotland to tske care of lan's elderly mother. We were sad to lose precious friends and ministy partners from our team. lan turned a room full of books into a tl)riving library of almost 4,000 books, covering most genres of Christianity and theology. lan and Ruth requested that as a ministry we release and send them to Scotland. Following the Biblical example from Acts 13, trustees and team members anointed lan and Ruth with oil, laid hands on them, sent and released them as missionaries to Scotland. and to the ministy that God has set them apart to do in His name. Their heart is to reach out to Christians, those who have no faith and those who have lost their way and help restore them to the Lord. lan continued to be part of the team, supervising volunteers in the library and preparing for the launch of the librarv for research and personal study.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL A further way in w,hich the World Mandate Ministries team continued with reaching out with the gospel was the creation PIECE WITH GOD VIDEO - JOHN 3..16. Over 100 Mugs containing goodies of soap. drinking chocolate sachets, Id Gospel literature amongst other things, were distributed to the residents on the Briar Hill estate. io

UIPPING THE SAINTS The reception from the residents of Briar Hill was warm and welcoming. Residents were thrilled and blessed to receive these goodies, and know that a church was coming to the area. Some people even declined the love gift, Llaiming they were 'not good enough to receive such gy jfts. 'E4L is an amazing course and true to the title Equipped for Life. On my 10 month journey I now can say I feel equipped to do the works of the Lord" My two 51Sters, told me about the Equipped 4 Life Course. l am so glad they did. I now feel better equipped to share how much Jesus loves people with others. l am now equipped to lead people to Christ. I would encourage you join the Equipped 4 Life course because God wants to equip and release each one of us to serve Him. Tara Philomena What our students say I would say If you want to grow.. make it your priority to knowl" Know the who, what, where, when, why and how. In this race called life, there's much for vacant hands to do. You can't turn around and say 'Sorry Lord- I didn't know" because you knew about the Equipped 4 Life course! The title speaks for itself. Vanessa Sound biblical teaching completely pierced my heart and prepared me to enter the battle fi'eld. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart and soul for giving me the tools I need to build a solid foundation and continue to build a relationship with our Lordl Martin The difference attending the Equipped 4 Life course has made to me so far is that it is helping me grow in my walk with God and daily increase my trust in Him. I hope to achieve a deeper relationship with God and discern more my God given purpose. I would encourage others by saying this course truly does what it says it does i.e. Equip You 4 Life, a Life for Christ! Elaine H

WHAT THE STUDENTS SAY continued The poem below is a reflection from one of the students, Elaine Herbert following her year on the Equipped 4 Life course. I went on a course called Equipped 4 Life, I learnt, among other things how to overcome strife. I met new brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, All very kind, supportive and nice. If you want a job doing ￿'ell. you can rely on Ness, She is wery organiscd Nvith true flair and fin¢ssc. Tara did a drarna on how to avoid hell, She loved the door knocking, she did it so well. Rebecca? gifted with creativity, the mission leaflets she did make, We gave them out all over town and on the Briar Hill estate. Magda around the coinmunion table, she sang and played guitar, Her heartfelt testimony she shared from Poland afar. Lola learnt to be led by what the Holy Spirit said, She learnt to be obedient that others to God's Kingdom could be led. Naomi, anointed and with purity of heart, God's Word with much power she did impart. Philomena, full of g¢n¢rosity and God's gra¢¢ For th¢ lost and marginaliz¢d, in her hcart 5hc'd embrace. I'd often hear Lindsay sav, "I've not done this before, but I'm willing to give it a go." She preached of God's healing so that others would know. Moheb led the prayers on the Bible study day, From the heart, it flowed in a kind, gentle, yet anointed way. Ramsey has a gift for leading people to the Lord, so that lives can be changed, built up and restored. Sili'ia with her pearls of wisdom, she did impart, She encouraged and supported with her generous heart. l am Elaine, and as for me, All Gods, children in heaven is what I want to see. So that Ivas the class of 2021, In unity, and mission - to be one. Elaine Herbert 13

UIPPING THE SAINTS BIBLICIAL S E;LF-LE;ADE'RS The Biblical Self Leadership ran twice in the vear and is becoming one ot our most popular courses, largJely due to the brevity of the course, the cost and most importantly the transfonnation within the lives of the students that attend the course. One of the modules of Biblical Self Leadership include a sc55ion on creat- ing a biblical mission statement. This exercise is not only practical, it provides a spiritual and biblical roadmap for students to base their future life and ministry on. MONTHLY PRAYER MEETINGS The monthly prayer meetings continued to meet online, post-pandemic. The advantage of this was that more people were able to attend and certainly those who live fillther away from the ministry centre found it easier to participate. The meelings are held on the firsi Wednesday of everj. monih from l O AM-12 noon. We pray for the world, the lJnited Kingdom, the global chureh and the iiwork ot World Mandate Mini%lries. We beli¢ve that a non-parochial mindset is essential io the ongoing work of unity within church life and the care for our world at large. The prayer meetings continue to be foundational to the work of the ministry and we Tegularly witness answers to Prayer. 15

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of World Mandate Ministries (the Trust) for the year ended 31 August 2021.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner's statement

Since your charity's gross income exceeded £250,000 your examiner must be a member of a listed body. I can confirm that I am qualified to undertake the examination because I am a registered member of ICAEW which is one of the listed bodies.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

  2. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Use of our report

The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

The presentation currency of the financial statements is the Pound Sterling (£).

Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty

The preparation of financial statements requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates. It also requires the Trustees to exercise their judgement in the process of applying the accounting policies. The areas involving a higher degree of judgement or complexity, or areas where assumptions and estimates are significant to the financial statements are disclosed within the individual accounting policies below.

Income

All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.

Expenditure

Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.

Grants offered subject to conditions which have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment but not accrued as expenditure.

Tangible fixed assets

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

Freehold property - 2% on cost

Fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and accumulated impairment losses. Where parts of an item of property, plant and equipment have different useful lives, they are accounted for as separate items of property, plant and equipment.

Depreciation methods, useful lives and residual values are reviewed at each balance sheet date. The selection of these residual values and estimated lives requires the exercise of judgement. The Trustees are required to assess whether there is an indication of impairment to the carrying value of assets. In making that assessment, judgements are made in estimating value in use. The directors consider that the individual carrying values of assets are supportable by their value in use.

Stocks

Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.

Taxation

The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.

NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS - continued FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2021

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued

Fund accounting

Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.

Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.

Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.

Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits

The charity operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the charity's pension scheme are charged to the Statement of Financial Activities in the period to which they relate.

Financial instruments

Cash and cash equivalents in the balance sheet comprise cash at banks and in hand and short term deposits with an original maturity date of three months or less.

Debtors and creditors with no stated interest rate and receivable or payable within one year are recorded at transaction price. Any losses arising from impairment are recognised in the statement of comprehensive income under administrative expenses.

Financial liabilities and equity instruments are classified according to the substance of the contractual arrangements entered into. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the entity after deducting all of its financial liabilities.

Where the contractual obligations of financial instruments are equivalent to a similar debt instrument, those financial instruments are classed as financial liabilities. Financial liabilities are presented as such in the balance sheet. Finance costs and gains or losses relating to financial liabilities are included in the profit and loss account. Finance costs are calculated so as to produce a constant rate of return on the outstanding liability.

Going concern

No material uncertainties regarding going concern exist.
