Registered Charity No. 1091640
1
OBJECTIVES World Mandate Ministries exists as a registered charity. The objectives are: -
-
1) The advancement of the Christian religion in accordance with the teaching of evangelism, in particular through the provision of classes and opportunities to study the Bible.
-
2) The relief of poverty of individuals who are in need. through the provision and distribution of goods, clothing and other services.
HOW OUR ACTIVITIES DELIVER PUBLIC BENEFIT
The charity objectives have been broken down into three headings -
-
Feeding the Poor
-
Equipping the Saints
-
Preaching the Gospel
The trustees consider that through the activities and provision of services by the Charity, the public is greatly benefited by -
-
Feeding the poor - the relief of poverty (by means of our Compassion World Wide Charity Shop, (now closed) along with the giving of 10% of all income from the general account of the charity.
-
Equipping the Saints - teaching believers how to live out their faith in ways that make a difference in their world. We do that through our Bible School, conferences, preaching and teaching engagements, cross-cultural mission trips, individual and peer mentoring, and by our own personal example and the way we live.
-
Preaching the gospel - teaching and learning how to explain the message of Christianity and the positive hope that Christians have, through our school, missions, preaching and life!
We are always greatly encouraged when we receive letters, emails and phone calls from individuals who have engaged with staff members. They testify of the transformation they have experienced through their engagement with World Mandate Ministries staff and the Christian ministry that has been extended to them.
Our pastoral team continue to meet with individuals who experience life–controlling
challenges. Through spending time with them, and support and prayer, we witness individuals re-establish normal and functioning lifestyles. Personal transformation can be a challenge to quantify, nevertheless transformation produces happier, emotionally stable people who become even more fruitful in their area of vocation.
Compassion World Wide Charity Shop was very popular and had become a hub in the community. This was not only a shop raising money for charity, it was also a place where acts of kindness happened on a regular basis. Our staff became aware of the needs of the customers and stepped up in ways that demonstrated how each person matters. They often gave a listening ear of comfort and support. Unfortunately the shop had to close in July of 2020.
It is our intention to reopen a charity shop in the future.
It is hard to enumerate the impact this little shop had on the community. We are aware that the lives of our staff and customers have benefited and been transformed, probably as much as the recipients of the money raised by the shop!
Every Nation Bible School UK is one of the ways in which we help Christians at every stage of maturity to learn something more of how to live out their faith and practically engage in their communities.
The courses that are run by the Bible School inevitably impact the community of each student as they contribute and relate to their neighbours and communities both locally and nationally, as Christ demonstrated.
Individuals are taught how to serve God, how to forgive, how to be gentle, how to explain the hope they have, how to pray, how to establish community projects, leadership skills, how to offer pastoral care to those encountering ‘end of life’ situations, plus much more.
People are equipped to serve in many and varied vocational capacities and go on to serve their local communities in meaningful ways.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE’S REPORT
2018-2019 has been an exciting year. We are especially grateful to all the individuals, churches, organisations and ministries that have greatly assisted this Charity in its ongoing endeavours.
We pay special tribute to our wonderful staff team, both paid and volunteers, who work tirelessly and most sacrificially for, and on behalf of, the Charity and the public that we serve. Our volunteers are loyal, hard-working and believe in giving of their very best, which they do with cheerfulness and a spirit of excellence. World Mandate Ministries would not be able to function to the capacity and excellence that it does without them.
We express our deepest gratitude to those who give of their time in prayer and financially support the charity through their kind donations.
Praying and giving enables the work of God to touch and transform lives.
As a Christian charity we particularly, and most importantly, express our gratitude and thanks to God for all His enablement and continued encouragement in all the work that we are doing in His Name.
SHARING OUR CHRISTIAN HOPE
The hope that we have as Christians is central to World Mandate Ministries. It is out of that hope that we minister and serve the people that we come into contact with.
We believe that each and every individual person is important to God and we seek to demonstrate His love in practical and meaningful ways, in ways that will open hearts to trust God, the source of all goodness.
As a ministry we seek to live in the spirit of the Beatitudes. We believe that the principle of honouring every person is important and this contributes to making the world a better place.
SHARING THE CHRISTIAN MESSAGE
(PREACHING THE GOSPEL)
We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to save lives. When we talk about saving lives we do so understanding that the word ‘save’ or ‘salvation’ means the holistic restoration of a person—being restored in spirit, soul and body.
ENABLING BELIEVERS TO SERVE
We believe that every individual has been gifted to make a transformational contribution and difference to the world that is positive and constructive. It is with that belief that we run Every Nation Bible School UK and seek to empower and enable people from all walks of life to serve in ways to make their positive contribution to the world today.
We work with the church locally. nationally and internationally, training and equipping church members to serve God.
FEEDING THE POOR
World Mandate Ministries trustees firmly believe the words of the Bible that state, “If a man is hungry, then a simple ‘God bless you’ means nothing.” We believe that care for the poor needs to be tangible, practical and relevant to those in need. It is to this end we ran the charity shop Compassion World Wide which supported the work and individuals in this, and other, countries.
Charitable donations were daily dropped into the charity shop by local residents. Hardworking volunteers sorted washed and ironed all donations before putting them out for sale. After the shop rent, utilities and the salaries of two part-time staff were taken into account all surplus funds were given to those in most need. Financial grant assistance was given to help relieve poverty locally, nationally and internationally. Careful and prayerful
consideration is given to the distribution of all funds raised. The charity only supports needs and smaller projects where an audit trail of how the finances have been spent is accessible.
3
EDUCATION IN UGANDA
Emmanuel, Elisha and Esther in Uganda are sponsored by donors and the proceeds from the charity shop.
Funds raised pay for their uniforms, stationary, exercise and text books. The family receives the funds allowing the children to go to school. We receive regular photo updated along with an annual school report
Tithing
The charity trustees adhere to the Biblical injunction of tithing, which for us means that 10% of all ‘undesignated’ income is put into a ‘tithe account, to meet the needs of others including the schooling of these Ugandan children.

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
Every Nation Bible School UK (ENBS)
The Bible School is open to any member of the public who wishes to develop practical skills and abilities in being able to serve their church and local community.
ENBS classrooms are environments of safety and encouragement. Teaching is powerful. Learning is fun, interactive and life-changing with ministry and impartation. Most importantly the opportunity is given to put into practice what has been learnt.
The presence of God at the Equipped 4 Life in Poland is only equalled by the hunger for God of the students.
Momentum has been building in student lives as God has been doing what only He can do in transformational breakthrough in their lives.
Every Nation Bible School UK on ZOOM
Due to virus restrictions many of our teaching modules were conducted via Zoom, as our students were unable to visit the classroom.

GRADUATIONS
EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
Equipping and training the local church is the primary way the Charity equips the saints.
Staff teams visit churches and groups of churches to enable members to be even more competent in their work of service within the church and local communities.
World Mandate Ministries adheres very strongly to working with and supporting the local church in reaching, serving and being of public benefits to local communities.
We work with and serve any church regardless of denomination.
Our goal is to help Christians to be effective in serving their local church and communities with their God-given gifts.
As an accredited teaching institution Every Nation Bible School believes that Continual Professional Development (CPD) is very important. To teach and equip others is an
honour and privilege. It is therefore vital that tutors continue to receive input to make their teaching even more fruitful.
All of our tutors are qualified by way of their personal gifting, calling, ministry experience and academic credentials. They are humble individuals who serve the Lord with the spirit of excellence. They are keen to develop themselves and receive ongoing training. Over the summer all our tutors attended a ‘refresher course’ on teaching in the classroom enabling them to be even more fruitful in and through their teaching ministries.

As a Five Fold ministry World Mandate Ministries recognizes the gifts given to the local and global church. Eleven team members were commissioned into their gifting on the same day as the graduation.
It was our privilege, honour and delight to celebrate our 18th Student Graduation Commissioning Service and World Mandate Ministries 18th birthday party with many of you and students of our bible school. Thank you to all who attended to support the students and ministry.
We were absolutely thrilled to welcome Evangelist David Hathaway as our special Guest speaker for what was a wonderful occasion..
With over 200 guests packed into St Giles Church in Northampton, we were humbled and thrilled to welcome David Hathaway as our special Guest Speaker to celebrate this great day with us, as twelve of our students graduated. David was an absolute inspiration and challenge as he reflected on decades of miraculous ministry.

Colette’s lead subject was on Brexit as she interceded for our land and prophesying Biblical declarations over the destiny of Great Britain.
It was a powerful time of praise and worship, interceding, declaration and decreeing in the centre of London at the same time as London was taken over by Pride march and many of the main roads were closed.
the Lord will always have the last word as He heard our cries.
Thank You & Goodbye to Klaudia
Klaudia has worked in the office for 5 years and of course we said goodbye to her in April and I don't feel it would be right for her to have left and it not be mentioned to the prayer partners.
After 5 years of faithful service Klaudia Cairns -
Every Nation Bible School UK Administrator moved on to pastures new.
Klaudia has a passion to home-school her children and working even part-time would not permit her to give that important role the time that is needed.
We thank God for Klaudia her dedication and commitment. Klaudia still remains a member of the leadership of the Bible school and serves in a voluntary capacity.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL
On Saturday August 31st a group of Evangelists throughout Northamptonshire came together to hold a day of equipping and outreach in Northampton town centre. Here are the words from one of the team.
December 2019 was the 8th year that seven itinerant evangelists met for their annual two day prayer retreat. These are very important days in our ministry calendars. We spend time seeking the face of God with and for each other. New and important ministries are birthed as a result of these precious times together.
“It was a great and powerful day. Right the way through the day there was a sense that we were all working together and supporting each other. Varying personalities, giftings and approaches to evangelism but the core purpose was reached to lift Jesus name high in the streets and the Market Square.
Prophetic evangelism teaching really set the day and greatly helped me to be alert to the unction of the Holy Spirit. I have done outreach before but never before as emboldened as on that Saturday, Jennifer lead us so well in the singing and our hearts were stirred to praise God and announce to all that Jesus loves every passer-by. The day was covered in much prayer.
One of the first encounters of the day we saw the Lord heal a man with a 32 year collar bone injury. Seeds sown in the own and proclamation of the Gospel went out in three areas.”

Poem by Elaine Roberts
George Floyd has left a void, Seems his skin colour made a man annoyed.
His life was taken before it’s time, Twas a law enforcer that committed the crime.
Men employed to uphold the law, A law they respected not nor held in awe.
His death exposed an evil schism, Let’s not deny this poison of racism.
Murderer thought they were the boss, Respect of the people is now their sad loss.
His life was snatched, he didn’t attack, Unarmed and helpless, he didn’t fight back.
His family mourn at this cruel loss, To them he was loved, not some old dross. Adored and respected by all those who knew him, Now in Heaven with His Saviour who loves him.
George’s life was valued, special and precious, The way that he died was evil and vicious.
The church must speak and not hold its peace, God’s gospel of love it must be released.
God loves all men, look at Jesus and see, He died for mankind to set us all free.
To clean up our lives and free us from sin, Jesus died on the cross to cleanse us within.
There’ll come a big day when all men will stand,
Before God Almighty at His right and left-hand.
We’ll give an account for all we have done, The repentant forgiven because of God’s son.
If men won’t repent their knees will be bent, Eternity from God is where they’ll be sent.
Kneel at the cross it’s never too late, Or meet God at His White Throne to be handed your fate.
Forgiveness is free to all who call, On Jesus, God’s Son, He is the Lord of all.

World Mandate Ministries Library
Here at World Mandate Ministries we have a well-stocked library which we trust will be of value to Northampton Christians and Churches. We now have in excess of 3250 books covering many topics, including Church History, Revival and Prayer. In addition, we have a large selection of commentaries and Bible study aids on both the Old and New Testament.
During lockdown we have added many new titles and we trust that with the lifting of lockdown measures the library will become a hub of study and prayer.
Some of you may remember that in 2018 Elaine was invited to contribute a 4 page devotional to the quarterly devotional produced by Scripture Union (SU) - Encounter with God (EwG) - “ You Can Be a World Changer.” as part of their World View series.
We are thrilled to inform you that Elaine was again invited to contribute to EwG for the April - June 2020 edition. This time a 14 day devotional covering Genesis 20-28 and Psalms 97, 98.
If you do not already use a daily devotional you can easily obtain one by contacting SU on 01908 856000 or

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of World Mandate Ministries
Independent examiner's report to the trustees of World Mandate Ministries
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of World Mandate Ministries (the Trust) for the year ended 31 August 2020.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
-
accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Grants offered subject to conditions which have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment but not accrued as expenditure.
Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.
