Spay And Neuter Scheme for Feral and Abandoned Cats
Activities and Objectives
Despite the ongoing situation with the Coronavirus pandemic the activities of Twinkle Trust Animal Aid continues. Our main aim is to spay and neuter as many homeless and abandoned cats as possible by carrying out trap, neuter and release campaigns, in addition we have, and will continue to provide aid to helpless cats, be they stuck up the top of a tree, stuck down an unused drain, sick or injured. As always our objective when saving sick and injured cats and orphaned kittens, is to provide the best care and veterinary medical treatment so that once the animal has recovered, if they cannot be released for a variety of reasons we search for responsible new homes when ever possible. With the help of regular volunteers and some new volunteers we have achieved a great deal, and prevented many thousands of unwanted kittens from being born in the last year.
We are pleased to report that for the first time the veterinary college collaborated with our charity and provided funding for the neutering of cats for a period of 2 months, this was a huge success and a great step in the right direction for progress. Talks have already began regarding further help in the following years. We continue to provide fresh dry food and clean water at over 20 feeding points for the homeless cats that we monitor and care for.
