The dmrity is constituted as a trust wlth trustees selected by elettion. The objective of the tharity it to advarKe the education of children below ststutory school age through the provision of a Nursery 5th001, 2 years old to school age. These objects are achieved by the creating an educational and stimulating currlculum for the stage age appropriate under the guidance of OFSTED. The additional Fundraising activlties which are supported and assisted by the parents whose children attend the nursery a￿ undertaken. Committee mernbers wis1￿d to stand down did so and were replaced ty wly elected members of incomln8 thildren to the settirq. Those parerrts whose thildren remained at the nursery and wished to do ￿ were rerynomlnated for the committee. We offer 38 weeks of 10 sesslons pu week induslve of lunch. which enables the children to attend both We started Septernber 2023 with 31 children on our books. This was a 8reat starting number, 8lvin8 US confidence in our financial stability from September for the year ahead. We finished the year with 40 thildren on our books, which was a slight inuease on last year. Of this number. 25 left to 80 to sthool. The Nursery School continues to be assisted by BU6dan￿ of the Pre - School Leamlng Alliance and the East Sussex Early Years Team. Local Authority Early Years Improvernent Tearn to ass15t Us ha5 assisted us with support for our committee as well as guid1￿ us towards our Otsted inspectlon whlch took place on 19th October 2023, awarding U5 '800rf which we were delighted with. As ever their support has been invaluable in improvin8 the nursery for our thildren as well as providin8 rnuch needed support for stsff and the commlttee. The Committee wlth the assistance of OUT parents ralsed over £121XJ.IJ) thls year whlth will be used toward5 purchasin8 new toys for the settir% as well as be8innin8 a fund for some other improvements within the nursery itself. AU staff have continued in keeping their trainiwa up to date arKI the Nursery has renewed its subsuiptions to the relevant training portals to be able to do this. We also use the Local Authorlty specific training to ensure we meet our ststutory obli8atK¥ns for safeguardin8 etc. All staff have supporting numeracy trainin& paediatric first aid trainlng and have Chlld Protection trainln8.
