Para 1.20 | During lockdown activities were curtailed but contact was maintained with service users. The centre has returned to normal activities and more volunteers have come forward to build on the services offered. Some of them are cancer survivors themselves. Service users testify to the value of our offering – in particular of having someone to talk to outside their immediate circle. This is also important for carers, friends and families. We also help with guidance on benefits etc and have a respite holiday home. We provide complementary therapies including reflexology. Our service is aimed at supporting patients and their loved ones, through their cancer treatment and beyond. |
