## **Notes to the Accounts**

**1. Accounting basis.** The accounts are prepared on a receipts and payments basis using a Charity Commission CC16-style layout. The records supplied did not identify restricted funds, so all funds have been treated as unrestricted.

**2. Sources and audit trail.** The figures are linked in the accompanying Excel workbook to bank statement transactions, handwritten cash book monthly summaries, handwritten cash expense lines, and prior-year accounts.

**3. Banked cash collections.** Bank statement cash deposits/DEP entries totalling £16,042.00 have been treated as banked cash collections and deducted from bank receipts in the workings to prevent double-counting cash donations already recorded in the cash book.

**4. Cash reconciliation.** The March 2025 cash book shows petty cash of £2,241.52. Reconstructed cash using the 2024 opening cash, cash donations, cash expenses and banked cash gives £1,833.29, leaving a difference of £408.23 requiring trustee review.

**5. Major bank receipt.** The bank records include £30,000.00 from A Ali Ashraf in September 2024. This has been included as other major bank receipts. Trustees should confirm whether it is a donation or Qarz-e-Hasna/loan funding before filing.

**6. Loan from members / Qarz-e-Hasna.** Opening loan from members per the 2024 accounts was £34,268.00. Payments marked Qarz-e-Hasna during the year total £21,040.00. The closing liability before any unconfirmed new loans is £13,228.00. If the £30,000.00 major bank receipt is confirmed as a loan, the liability would be £43,228.00.

Hussaini Mission | Charity no. 1091165 | Year ended 31 March 2025

**7. Fixed assets.** Tangible fixed assets have been carried forward at £546,551.00 from the 2024 accounts because no additions or disposals were identified in the records supplied.
