**Objects:** THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF MENTAL HEALTH IN PARTICULAR BY:  (A) ADVANCING EDUCATION AND LEARNING IN THE SCIENCE AND PRACTICE OF MENTAL HEALTH CARE; (B) PROMOTING RESEARCH THEREIN AND AND THE PUBLICATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH; AND (C) PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH CARE FOR THOSE IN NEED OF SUCH CARE .

**Activities:** Centre for Mental Health undertakes research and development activities in the field of mental health.  These activities are particularly focussed on mental health care in prisons and the criminal justice system and on issues relating to the employment of people with mental health problems.  Findings and recommendations are aimed at creating improvements on a national scale.
