The financial statements comply with the Charlties Act 2011, the Memorandum and Artlcles of
A55ociatlon, and Accounting and reportlng by Charities: Statement of Recommended Prattice applicable

The Soclety was establlshed partlcularly for the benefit of persons In the Greater London Area and
Home Counties, to relleve poverty and slckness and for such other charltable purposes as the Trustee's,
shall from time to tlme, determlne.
Organlsatlon
The board of trustees admlnisters the charlty and meets at least twlce a year In addltlon to the monthly
meetings of the members. At these meetlngs there is discussion on financial affair5, adminlstration and
any other requlrements as outllned by the charity commission.
Trustee Indurtlon and tralnlng
New trustee5 undergo an orientation meetin8 With the Chair and/or sensor officer to brlef them on:
their legal obligations under charlty; the Charity Commisslon guidance on public benefit; and Inform
them of the content of the Memorandum and Articles of Association, the committee and decision-

Induction and help with the charity governance.
Rlsk management
The trustees have a risk mana8ement strategy which comprlses:
Meeting once a year to ￿VEW the princlpal risks and uncertainties that the charity currently
face5. The establishment and review of policies, systems and procedures to mitigate those risks
Identified in the annual review. and
The implementation of procedures designed to mlnimlse or manage any potentlal impact on
the charity should those risks materialise.

Finance/Fundlng Strategy
The financial management of the charity is very important to us all and we have great transparency in
how and where our funds are allocated. As a charity we are keen to ensurethat our misslon and objectives
are fully met. During the current year, the Trustee5 undertook their annual review of systems, it was
agreed that the procedures remain the same, i.e. operating from a Reserve Account, a Main Account plus
a Working Account and reporting on this monthly to members.
Additionally, the LPK&Qs have income streams from I x Worldpay, 2 x Sumup handset machines which
are used for collections made by card rather than cash, and a PayPal account which is actioned by a QR
code.
Reserves Policy
An unrestricted reserves pollcy is drawn up each year on the approprlate use of accumulated funds. The
Treasurer and Trustees examlne ways of ensuring that there Is approprlate 'contingencl funding to
support the committed expenditure costs by producin8 a budget for the on-comlng year.
The Future
Following yet another busy and successful year the LPK&Qs were delighted to welcome three new
members to our Society, Evie, Evette and Jasmine our new Pearly Consorts. It Is so wonderful to know
that we are taking positive actlon to keep thls wonderful traditlon allve.
Stafflng and Volunteers
There are no pald staff in the LPK&Qs charitable society, the society Is run and supported excluslvely by
volunteers. All volunteers undertake tasks at thelr own expense and as such the Trustees welcome every
opportunity to thank thls dedlcated team of individuals. Our volunteer Pearly Kin8s, Queens, Princes,
