However. the Covid-19 pandemic has been a severe blow to progress with children negatively impacted by the resw)se. CkJr partners and grantees have seen this impact hrst hand through incwsed malnutrition, missed ethjcahon and disrtspted health services. With to an additional 150 million people In developing countries projected to be living in extreme poverty by the end of 2021. the ltsng-term scarring of Covid-19 will be felt lor years to come. The pandernic has exacerbated the fjd's existing inequibes. making tho)5e aladY most at risk from the climate ¢risis even more vulnerable. While richer nabons that can finance their own debt have been able to weather the st(xm. many developing countries a ¢n 3 precarious %tuation which in turn threatens Childn'S programmes, inclLMJing the sustainability of our own efforts. It is clear that much more needs to be done to ensure the CovioS.19 recovery 15 equitskAe xro55 geDgraphies and generations. Despite thi5 di5rupbon. CMJf commitsment to irnprowng the lives ol children ha5 only strengthened. As the pandenNc hit, CIFF was wdl prepared to ensure the continuity of operatiCS.
