TRUSTEES, REPORT
The Trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2024.
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note 1 tc the accounts and
comply wilh the charity's goveming document. applicable law and the requirements of the Stalernent of
Recommended Practice. "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2005.
Structurè. governance and management
The Gharity was incorporated on the 19 September 2001 as company limiled by guarantee, registration number
04297947. Following incorporation it was registered with the Charity Commission on the 21 February 2002,
registration number 1090917.
The power of appointing new trustees is vested in th8 truslees. The trustees, who are also the directors for the
purpose of company law, who served during the year were:

Objectlves and activitie5
The charity works in partnership with statutory and third s8Ctor organisations to improve and sustain the health and
well-being of the population living within a 10 mile radius of Wincanton, Somersel. It provides supporl for those
experiencing disabllity and l or disadvantage to engage in horticultural and related naturè-based activities that
enable positive life change. The focus is primarily on improving and sustaining mental and physlcal health,
improving knowledge and practical experience of food growing and wildlife gardening, and to counteract the effects
of social isolation building stronger. more resilient individuals and communities.
Achievements and performance for public benefit
To the year ending 31 March 2024 Ihe charity th￿rked in partnership with a range of voluntary sector organisations
and local authority agencies to provide a wide range of activities based on social and therapeutic horticultur&, wildlifè
gardening, and woodland activities. The charity provided activities for people experiencing mental and physical ill-
health. learning disability. soclal isolation and those in need of support to broaden social connections. The charity
worked directly with 65 adults and 40 childrens, and had a positive indirect effe￿ on the communities living within It's
reach through the maintanance of public outdoor spaces.
Financlal revlew
The trustee5 are confident that the charity has sufficient reserves to enable them to meet their aims.
Reserves policy
The trustees aim to build up and sustain a reserve of no more than six months revenue tumover.

Public benefit
Th& trust8es confirm that they have considered the guidance from the Charity Commission regarding public benefit
when reviewing the charity's aims and objectives and in planning future activates. They are satbsfied that the
activities undertaken during the year fully meet these Tequirements.
Trustees, responsibilities
The trustees (who are also directors of the charitable company for th8 purpos8s of company law) are responsible for
preparing the Trustees, Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulatlons.
Company law requires the trustees to prepar8 financial statements for each financial year in accordance wlth Unlted
Kingdom Generally Accepted AccountirvJ Policies (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law),
Under company law the trustees musl not approve the financial statements unless they ar8 satisfied that they give a
true and fair view of the state of affairs of thè charitablè company and of the incoming resources and application of
resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charitable company for that period.
In preparing these accounts, the trustees are requir8d to:

obseNe the methods and principles In the Charities SORP;
make judgements and eslimales that are reasonable and prudent; and
prepare the accounts on the going concem basls unless It is inappropriate to presume that the charfty wlll contlnue
in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping propar accounling records Ihat disclose with reasonable accuracy at any
tlme the financial position of the charity and which enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the
Companies Act 2006 and the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charitable
company and hence for taklng reasonable stsps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The trustees are responslble for the maintenance and integrity of the corporatè and financial information included on
the charitable CoMpan￿S website. Legislation in the United Kingdom goveming the preparation and dissemlnallon of
ac¢ounls may differ from legislation in other juiisdi¢tions.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
I report on the accounts of the charitable company for the year ended 31 March 2024, which comprise the
Ststement of Financial Activities, the Balance Sheet and the related notes.
Respective responsibllities of trusteos and examiner
As the charity's trustees (and the directors of the company for the purposes of company lawl you are
responslble for the preparation of the accounts. You consider thal an audit is not required for this year
under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is
needed. You also consider that an audit is not requlred for this year under ihe Companies Act 2006.
Having satisfied mysetf that the charity Is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for
independent examination. it is my responsibility to examine the accounts under seclion 145 of the 2011
Act, follow the procedures laid down in Ihe general Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 14515) of the 2011 Act, and slate whelher particulaT matters have come to my attention.
Basls of Independent examinerfs report
My examination was carried out in accordance the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. 11 also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanalions from you as trustees conceming any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence th8t would be required in an audit
and Consequently no opinlon is given as to whether the a£count$ present a 1rue and f81r view, and the
report Is Ilmited lo those matters set out in the statement below.
