Accounts have been kept on a weekly basis for the club and in our view, every care has been taken to account for all monies taken.
The club is affiliated to British Gymnastics (the governing body), the Southwest Amateur Gymnastics Association and Cornwall Amateur Gymnastics Association. The club and our coaches comply with their guidelines and policies.
The club’s new gym year started on 5[th] September 2023. Our new Landlords had taken over during our last financial year and the expected rent rise was put in place. However, class numbers continued to grow, which enabled the club to deal with the rent increase. Additional income was created by arranging Holiday Clubs during half term and holiday periods.
We also saw an improvement in the decoration and maintenance of the club’s unit. The club’s relationship with our new Landlords has continued well.
Our parents, together with some coaches, set up a Fund-Raising Committee and this helped to provide for any necessary expenditure regarding club clothing and renewal of apparatus. The generous donation from one of our parents enabled the club to fund coaching courses which in turn led to more sessions being offered and having more BG qualified coaches, the club has been able to increase the numbers in most classes.
The Competition Squad continued to enjoy success in County and invitational competitions throughout the year and has continued to increase in numbers.
The club received a grant from our local Redruth Charity Trust again this year which was used to purchase replacement handrails for our Asymmetric Bars and a new First Aid Kit. This was presented to the club at the RCT Annual Awards evening in May.
We have had no serious incidents in the club during this past financial year and no incidents of serious injury. The conditions of our insurance are such that any incidents of injury must be reported British Gymnastics.
