Redruth. Cornwall TR15 3NE Accounts have been kept on a weekly basis for the club and in our view. every care has been taken to account for all monies taken. The club is afflllated to British Gymnastics, the South West Amateur Gymnastics Association and Cornwall Amateur Gymnastics Association. The club complies with their guidelines and policies. Ih The club's new gym year started on 5 September 2022 Most of the restrictions imposed as a result of the covid pandemic were dropped. Membership continued to 8row back slowly and by the end of the gym year in July 2023 numbers were almost up to pre-covid. Before the start of the new gym year, we were informed by our landlord that the unit was being sold to the owners of the adjacent. This resulted in our rent being almost doubled which took effect almost immediately. The implications of this rent rise. together with price rises in energy bills were not favourable for the future of the club. A new parent/coach led fundraising committee was formed and set about organizing extra fun sessions. Term fees were inevitably increased from January 2023. A considerable donation from one of our parents enabled the club to fund several coaching courses. This has led to more sessions being offered and having more BG qualified coaches, the club has been able to increase the numbers in most classes. The future of the club is again ensured for the foreseeable future. Numbers have also increased in the club's competition squad who have entered County and Invitational Competitions with a very pleasing amount of success. The club'5 Administrator decided to retire after 40 plus years helping to run the club. Her duties were taken over by the club's Treasurer and Welfare Officer. Once again. the club has received a grant from our local Redruth Charity Trust. It was decided to askfor a Hand Apparatus Storage Unit and a set of resistance bands which have proved to be very useful training aids. This was presented to the club at the Rcr Annual Awards evening in May.
We have had no serious incidents in the club during this past financial year. No incidents of seriou5 injury. The conditions of our Insurance are such that these incidents of injury have to be reported on a re8ular basis to our insurers- Hixcox. This insurance is arranged through British Gymnastics.
