Redruth. Cornwall TR15 3NE Accounts have been kept on a weekly basis forthe dub and in our view. every care ha5 been taken to account for all monies taken. The club is affiliated to British Gymnastics. the South West Amateur Gymnastics Association and Cornwall Amateur Gymnastics Association. The club complies with their guidelines and policies. The club's new gym year started on 6th September 2021 without most of the restrictions imposed as a result of the Covid outbreak. It wasobvious that membership of the club wa5 reduced compared with the pre-covid numbers. However. as the gym year progressed, membership has grown but not reached pre-covid numbers. We were very sad to receive the news that our coach who ran our Pre-school class decided not to return to the club due to the ever present threat of covid. So it was decided not to run this class for the coming gym year. It was replaced by a Toddler Group run on a drop in basis, by two of our coaches who had children of that age. This proved to be very popvlarthroughout the Autumn and Spring terms, but not as much during the Summerterm. Increased support is expected when the new gym year starts in September 2022. Our Welfare Officer decided to retire from the post in August 2021. The club was delighted to appoint Mrs Alice Blenes as our new Welfare Officer. We started the new gym year with a reduced number of Saturday Recreational classes and the slightly later start has proved to be popular. In November 2021, one of our Level 2 coaches left on maternity leave but has been able to fill in on the odd occasion during the SummerTerm when needed. Another Level I coach also left at the end of the Autumn Term due to work commitments. We were delighted to have two new volunteer parent coaches join the coaching staff with a view to becoming qualified at a later date. CAGA has resumed it's competition programme. and in October 2021 the club entered a small number of it's competition squad gymnasts. resulting in a pleasing degree of success after an 18 month Eap in the competition year. the gym year progressed. the club entered more competitions arid the results were encouraging. The competition squad grew during the gym year and the club is looking forward to continued succe55 during 2022123. This year the club has received a grant from our local Redruth Charity Trust. It was decided to ask for a foldin8 foam wedge and this was presented to the club at the RCT Annual Awards evening in April.
