GOD'S HOUSE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD Reports and Financial Statements Year ended 31ST MARCH 2022 Trustees Report
Statement from the Chairperson
We are incredibly proud of ever-increasing reputation of being a vibrant multicultural church reaching out to local, national, and international communities. We have managed to retain such reputation because of our passionate team, and our partnering with local and international churches/organisations with similar aspirations.
Our decade long desire and work towards attaining our own multipurpose building came to fruition this fiscal year. We were able to attain and move into the sanctuary building in September and December respectively. We are ever thankful and grateful for answered prayer. I am very proud of the church and the group of people that collectively make this happen.
We attained the sanctuary building with some extra immediate benefits like the white goods, furniture, sounds system, etc that were sold at giveaway prices, or given to us for free by previous owners. We in turn gave to other churches items of value not needed by our department teams. And the feedback was satisfying, knowing we are blessing other churches as God would want us to.
There was a need for immediate renovations to meet minimum standards to use the building. This was carried out under the supervision by the building department. Other renovations work was carried out by members of the church voluntarily, that gave our offices, kitchen, and children areas a facelift. We are very thankful for increasing support. Others supported the work through donations. We are currently raising funds to replace the heating, increase the comfort factor in the hall and other rooms and meeting areas, also reducing the energy cost.
Coming into a bigger building following COVID-19, was a concern rightfully raised by some. By His Grace our numbers are stable both in the building and online. Our finances are stable, and our plans are forging on, with God continuing to direct our steps as a church. We thank all that God is using for His glory and encourage others to come and be part of God’s work.
GHIC continued to work in partnership with others by reaching out and impacting those in need. A project worth of recognition and praise is the prison ministry where our senior pastor continued to visit the local prison weekly and share God’s love. This ministry has developed exponentially and is changing lives of men and women.
Other activities GHIC and partners have been involved includes the winter night shelter for the homeless. This is done in collaboration with the city council of Bristol, the Wild Goose and churches around Bristol. The new building has allowed us to run a fitness club for the elderly every Wednesday. This is to support those who live are alone by giving them a platform to connect with others. A total of 34 elderly women attended the program. Our hall is also being utilised by a local school for various school functions. A local dance school also uses the hall twice each year. Our new building has also been used for a funeral of one of the local police officers. We are pleased to be contributing to our community in such a broad way.

New members joined the board this year and their new ideas and contributions have been timely, considering the new challenges we are now faced with in a new bigger building. There is lots of potential in our new building and the board will work with the pastors and the rest of the departments to explore these for GHIC’s benefit. We are aiming to increase the total board members by two more members in the coming months. Women are encouraged even so, are encouraged to apply to have a fitting balanced in representation. We look towards a brighter and even more successful 2023.
The Chairperson would like to thank the trustees and office staff who continue to work tirelessly to ensure the charity’s services are credible and in keeping with the strategic goals as stated in the Bible, trust deed, church vision.
