• 1 The Charity was established by trust deed on 28 March 2001 as The Felix Trust and the name was changed to The Felix Trust for Art by means of a supplementary deed on 6 November 2001.

• 2 The Charity was registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 22 January 2002 as charity number 1090195

• 3 The address for the Charity at year end was 9 Herschel Grange, Warfield, Bracknell RG42 6AT

• 4 The objects of the Charity were established in the trust deed as;

‘To advance the public education in the visual and performance arts directly and by advancing their interest in and appreciation of these arts.’

• 5 The Charity’s bankers are Metro Bank, Slough

• 6 The trustees of the Charity are Mr Dominic Palfreyman (Chairman), Ms Emma Kohring (Trustee) and Ms Marilyn Palfreyman (Treasurer). There were no resignations or other new appointments to the trustees during the year. Under the terms of the trust deed trustees are appointed or reappointed by a resolution of the trustees at a special meeting called for that purpose.

• 7 Investment powers and authorities are governed by the trust deed. The trustees intend to hold any further donations in cash deposits with reputable creditworthy UK banks and if these sums become significant relative to planned donations to invest a proportion of them in an appropriate low risk sterling bond fund maintaining adequate reserves in cash deposits.

• 8 The Charity has no formal relationships with other related parties or other organisations or charities in respect of fundraising or the pursuit of its charitable objects. The Charity does expect to pursue its charitable objects by working with or making donations to other charities working in the same areas and so the trustees are building informal relationships with a number of these.

• 9 The trustees are made aware of potential projects through their professional and personal contacts

Projects are proposed by any one trustee and the unanimous approval of all trustees is required for the Charity to support a project.

• 10 During the year the Charity made no grants but did receive and substantial donation from Dominic Palfreyman (a Trustee) made via a Charities Aid Foundation account directed by him. This will allow the charity to resume its activities after a period of low activity.

• 11 The Charity has a website detailing its activities at www.felixtrust.com

• 12 The Trustees have not identified any risks of significance affecting the Charity.

• 13 The Charity does not actively seek funds from the general public.

Report to the trustees The Felix Trust for Art ~~PO~~ On accounts for the year 28 March 2024 Charity no 1090195 ended (if any) ~~PS~~ Set out on pages attached ~~PO~~ I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 28 /03/2024 .

Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

• examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

• the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

• the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

• the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
