**Objects:** THE RELIEF OF OLDER PERSONS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM THROUGH THE PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF INDEPENDENT ADVOCACY SERVICES AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF STANDARDS AND QUALITY FRAMEWORKS FOR THE DELIVERY OF SUCH ADVOCACY.

**Activities:** OPAAL is the only national second tier organisation providing information and support for independent advocacy with older people in the UK. We've managed a number of national projects promoting independent advocacy with older people. We support advocacy schemes and work closely with partners in national and local government and with other organisations concerned with supporting older people
