## Annual Report 2022

This term we started the year with 32 children on a books and finished with 42. Managers observations have gone well all year with small targets and improvements for the staff to make, evidenced in their self-evaluations and reviewed at their supervisions. No major things have come up in the staff supervisions.

As Ofsted have changed their approach based on the new EYFS the requirements to do observations have reduced so the staff can spend quality time with the children and not on paperwork.

Speech testing was done on all the children again and all targeted children had improved. We supported 13 children at the beginning of the year and 7 children at the end. If children are away we enlist quieter children to join the group to help with their confidence. This year we were awarded a £5000 grant for supporting our MOD children, it was used for two training days on communication & language and emotional well being. It was also used for resources for communication and language and our SEND children. The rest will be spent on supporting parents at coffee mornings next term.

Over the year we have had 4 SEND children they had between 6-14 hours a week of 1:1 support based on 30hours attendance and their level of need. One child got an EHCP for the last term and another by the summer holidays before they started school.

We have requested 7 other children to be seen by the area SENDCo but they have a back log of cases so wont be seen until the Autumn term 2022

As well as this we also do extra targeted work with EYPP and Think 2 children.

For those children who get this extra funding and they are not behind we have used their money for sessions from Moo music and story, Diddy dance, hearts beeps imaginative music session, Alpacas and therapy Donkey’s.
