A very different year with all the Covid 19 restrictions which affected us from the beginning of the academic year, and still is now.
The year started well with 37 children on the books and went up to 46 by the end of the year with five new starters starting in the Summer term.
We have updated our risk assessment to comply with the changing government guidelines and this looks set to stay in sept regarding cleaning, snack and hand washing.
Planning in the moment is still going well. The staff work well with this approach and the children love pre-school and they are all improving and achieving. This approach will also work well with the new EYFS which is being slim lined for September. Additionally, our 5 SEND children (this is over 10%) are making marked progress which is due to our highly trained and dedicated staff and the one to one time they are given through funding. All staff Appraisals have gone well and any issues have been resolved at the staff meetings.
Speech targeting all went well for all children who all made significant improvements except for 1 who is being seen by speech and language. We will start testing the older ones again in Sept.
We have been targeting the children who we identified as being behind when staff handed their % for each child on their attainment levels, these children have all made improvements. We have 16 children who are behind, 5 of which are SEND, 4are older boys who lack concentration and 6 have speech problems.
As well as this we also do extra targeted work with SEN, EYPP and Think 2 children.

For parents this year we have had:

A toddle (for limited helpers)
Leavers presentation (older ones only with one adult in the garden) up to this point we could not have any adults in unless they were visiting SEND or having a tour/settling in.

It is my responsibility to:

examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act,

to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act, and

to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given examiner’s statement by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
