TRUSTEES’ REPORT FOR THE YEAR TO 31 DECEMBER 2022
As reported last year, the trustees resolved to launch an appeal to members of the Samuel Pepys Club to put the Award on a firmer and more predictable footing than it has enjoyed so far. As a result £27,486 was raised, donated by 28 members. This could be viewed as just a good start but was also somewhat disappointing as it was hoped that it might have been possible to begin to establish an endowment fund. However it does mean that seven Awards are guaranteed to be financed over the next 14 years.
