**Objects:** (A) TO PROMOTE, MAINTAIN, IMPROVE, AND ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF PERSHORE AND SURROUNDING VILLAGES AND NEIGHBOURHOOD (HEREINAFTER CALLED &quot;THE AREA OF BENEFIT&quot;) WITHOUT DISTINCTION, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.(B) TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE SAME (WHETHER ALONE OR IN CO-OPERATION WITH ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSON OR BODY) IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS.

**Activities:** Number 8 is a Community Arts Centre inspired and led by the people of Pershore. It provides a programme of  film, live events, event cinema, creative workshops and exhibitions, and offers facilities for community classes and groups. Opened in 2004 it is governed by a Board of Trustees and managed by an Executive Team which includes two senior employees, supported by approximately 200 volunteers.
