**Activities:** BrANCH organizes an annual conference and has editorial responsibility for an academic journal, American Nineteenth Century History (published by Taylor & Francis). We also offer small grants to UK-based postgraduate students to help fund research and an annual prize for the best dissertation written by a UK-based undergraduate or masters student in the field of 19th-century American history.
